We had extended family members visit during Christmas and found this house to be charming and homey. We found everything needed and more for all ages from a high chair to nutcrackers! It’s not often our family can get together so it was fabulous to find a place that felt like home. Thank you for a magical holiday!!

Charming house

My family and I stayed for a long weekend. Great home and area for kids and pets. Very quiet. House has everything you could need including a baby gate at the top of the steps! Walking distance to restaurants and some shops. Short drive to kid activites. Will definitely stay again.

Great central location

We lived in West Hartford for 23 years before moving to the Midwest a decade ago. We had an early Christmas celebration with our children who live in the area. The location was super convenient to the freeway and walking distance to groceries, restaurants, stores and the library. The house itself was very clean and comfortable for our family of 8 to gather around the dining room table. With the extra bedrooms, our children were able to join us for days of hanging out. The only down side is that while well equipped, the kitchen is limited. Since I didn’t want to cook, it was ok just for breakfast. The host was very responsive and says he is updating the kitchen soon. I would book the place again and still might not cook! Our dog loved the back yard and nearby trails along Troutbrook too. Thanks Mark

Incredible Location - New England Charm

We came into town for a family funeral. This was the perfect home base for the week. The house is spotless. Very comfortable bedding and more towels than you could ever need! The shower is hot with good water pressure but is a tub/shower so a tighter fit. However, that is expected in an older home and did not deter from our enjoyment of the property. You truly cannot beat the location. Street noise was never an issue for us. Thankful to have a place that felt like home during a difficult week. Thank you, Mark!

Beautiful home!

The home is very beautiful and welcoming. Mark adds cute little details that make you feel like you are living in luxury. The cupboards have some food, like sauce packets to get you going with making meals. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the cabinet in the bathroom stocked with so many useful items. The price was higher than I wanted to pay, but I was told that’s because it’s Connecticut, but Mark does a good job making the house a little more worth the high price.

Wonderful Stay

What a lovely property! The home is welcoming and charming, and the grounds are beautiful with a large backyard abutting a brook. We had a gorgeous view of fall tree colors out the windows. The house is well-equipped with kitchen supplies, plush towels, comfortable bed linens, and chargers in every bedroom. Very nice decor; mix of antique and modern. Excellent location, just a short walk to West Hartford center and Blueback Square. The host was welcoming and helpful. We plan to stay here again on our next visit to WH.

Great place to stay

I visit family about once a year and my kids were sick of small hotel rooms, so we tried renting a house this year. I'm so glad we did! The house has lots of room, a nice couch/tv set up, and a well stocked kitchen. We walked to several restaurants and an escape room, liked that there was a grocery store 2 minutes away, and liked the backyard.

Great house, great location!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is really nice and well appointed, with everything that we needed for a great family weekend. And the location was great....we loved walking to Blue Back Square and the Center! I really didn't use my car all weekend! Our host was very responsive, and I highly recommend this property if you want to explore West Hartford!
