This was a great place to stay while we visited Starved Rock and Matthiessen state parks. The villa was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen since we prepared and ate our meals here.If returning to the area, we would definitely want to stay here again.

Great location for visiting parks and especially North Utica. Villa was clean and very comfortable. Plenty of kitchenware for the meals we prepared there. Good directions for using the jacuzzi tub. A little wear on the carpet by the master bedroom door but clean and well maintained. Easy to walk up to the lodge if you wanted to try their restaurants.

We stayed here because we have a wedding to attend at Starved Rock Lodge. The proximity to the lodge and hiking paths was great. The property is an end unit on a quiet street, and there was plenty of space to walk our dog and beautiful views. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, and the carpeting was worn and dated, but the unit is clean and spacious, and had everything we needed for our weekend stay.

Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would’ve enjoyed staying longer. Loved the condo and Martin was super accessible and easy to work with. If I was going to change anything, it would be for some coffee so that we could make a cup of joe in the morning. I guess that’s my only ask. Super place and area. Would stay and hope to stay again.

Perfect weekend getaway

Overall, the space was perfect for a family stay. Clean, outfitted with all your needs. Locally placed to enjoy the State Parks, Grizzly Jack, and local shops downtown. So glad we stayed here.

We had a nice stay in Starved Rock. The condo was nice and large, but the kitchen was lacking some basic utensils, which we actually bought and left there. I did appreciate the extra fan in the master bedroom. We had no trouble getting into the condo and there was only 1 other unit being used during the week. On the weekend, it became more crowded, but not bad at all. We did see wildlife around the condo, too. All in all, we will stay there again if we ever make it back to Starved Rock.

Great place for our family! Very cute place, quite spacious. The unit is at the end of the parking lot and backs up to a lovely brushy area and then a pond. Birds, rabbits and other wildlife were abundant. Otherwise it was fairly quiet.

I totally love our stay at this cabin !! It was better than what pictures show , feels right at home and has everything you could possibly need , very comfortable , spacious and clean . Nice place and location. Very close to Starved rock state park. King mattress could use an upgrade and couches were very old (hard to get out of). Full kitchen, laundry and shower was nice.

Perfect place to enjoy Starved Rock State Park

The villa is spacious, clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for cooking, eating, and entertainment. The beds were comfy and the villa was situated in a quiet corner of the resort next to the woods. Had a raccoon appear at the patio door the first night; guessing that previous guests may have given it a handout. The resort is practically adjacent to Starved Rock State Park, which allowed us to hike in the early morning and get back to the villa for breakfast, then head out again. When it was too hot to hike, we played some mini golf, which is in a shady location at the resort. Great kayak rental on the opposite side of the river within a 10-minute drive. Beautiful paddle upstream along the limestone bluffs. Highly recommend this rental.

Spent most of my time on the back deck listening to the crestures. And all the lightning bugs were awesome. If in this area again id want the same unit. But my son hit a deer but pried the sidewall from hos tire so he could drive the 4hrs back. We all made it safe.
