"Dog Diarrhea, no toiletries, & bugs... OH MY!"

I had driven a long way so immediately needed to use the bathroom after checking in. Then realized there was no soap. No shampoo. No trash bags in the trash cans. No toilet paper refills. The room smelled like smoke and there were ants in the room. (Had to make sure to check for bedbugs... thankfully none!) Not the kind of carpet I'd feel quite comfortable walking on without flip flops on. (And I'm NOT terribly picky, so that's saying something!) The next morning, when I opened the door, there was literal dog diarrhea on the ground just outside the door of the room next to mine... up on the second floor balcony. (Oh gosh, at least I HOPE it was a dog!!) And it remained there my entire 3 night stay. If every other hotel hadn't already been full or way too expensive, I would have left. (But I guess you have to go to expensive places for "fancy" things like "soap"... and "toilet paper".) NEVER again.

What a dive

Didn't even stay. People are obviously living in this dive. Had 3 little grandchildren with us and would not trust this place. This hotel shouldn't even be a choice on Hotels.com. please don't stay here.

Stained pillowcases and rug, food left in the frig no idea how long it had been there, cigarette butts and broken glass all over the ground outside the door, dirty room, smelly.

Please don't get tricked

This place is horrible.. Smelled so bad almost puked walking in the door. It is pretty much a run down apartment complex. I have stayed in some bad places in my life and this was the worst! Nothing at all like the pictures show!!! I have now spend hours trying to get my money back!!

Nice enough stay, but very dirty for pricepoint

It was a little dirty. Had soda or something on the counters, walls, and side tables. The Door Latch was completly broken off. The fan in the bathroom didnt work. The bedding had a burn hole in it.

Was inexpensive, but the building condition was dirty/worn, dirty stairways, room was basic but clean though it definitely smelled of smoking. Parking lot was rough with some trash/debris laying around. Room was quiet, AC worked fine, bathroom was older, clean, everything worked, TV was ok, internet worked fine. Mostly that everything looked worn and low maintenance. No problems though, but knowing it now I'd choose a different place, like the Best Western across the parking lot where I had to check in since the Superior Place had no lobby or office.

The bedsheets and pillowcases are so bad. I went to Walmart to buy a set to put on the bed since there are no other places to stay and normally I would wash them first but no laundry. I wish the booking site would take them off their site and refund our money.

Worst place we've ever stayed. Check in handled at the hotel next door. The person at the desk couldn't figure out our reservation. When he finally found it he took my credit card for incidentals then told me I needed to still pay for the room. I told it it has been paid for months ago. I told him I didn't feel comfortable with him having my card at that time because he was insisting it wasn't paid for. He said I could check in and he'd check with his manager on it he then handed me a paper with my reservation info on it and it clearly said PREPAID He saw it and said oh your ok. I see it. He hands me the key and I walk out not feeling great about it. I handed it to my husband so he could find the room before we park and carry it things up. The key did not work on the door so this time he went it to speak to the person at the desk. After a number of minutes he returns and we head back. The property was in complete disarray. Everything was filthy and in bed of repairs . It honestly looked abandoned.. we found it room and upon walking in we were smacked in the face with a terrible smell of cigarette smoke in our non smoking room. The room itself was ok but Very outdated. About 10min after arriving in our room a woman and a few kids came to our door. Turned out the guy at the front desk gave them the room #he signed to us AND a key to get it THANK GOD we were there. She could have come right in! The pool advertised as with this motel is actually at the hotel next door.comeinThp W

Comfortable Rome. I was booked for 3 nights. My grandson had a Legion baseball tournament Friday,Saturday and Sunday. Many inches of rain on Saturday. The tournament was canceled. The manager refunded my money for Saturday nite. That was very nice of them. It doesn’t get any better than that. 😎😎

Poor

Floors were very very dirty. I had to go purchase a swiffer dry/wet mop to sweep mop sweep again and was still gettiingbalot of dirt and hair. We were short a bed from what I booked. We had to check in at the BW hotel next door, pool was also with the BW not at this hotel. Tried to use the oven for a breakfast casserole and it hadent been cleaned out. Everything else was ok. Beds were not very comfortable but It was a place to rest our heads. We were only there to sleep shower eat a quick breakfast and was gone the rest of the time. The pictures were taken from the swiffer i bought and used on the floors. Very disgusting! Wont be my first choice if we are ever back in the area.

We had to check in at Best Western, but didn't know ahead of time. Beds lumpy, peeling wallpaper, fridge had not been defrosted in weeks (months?), thermostat didn't work properly. Would NOT recommend!!!

Very run down. Room near us was boarded up, looks like another room light on fire, we were giving someone elses room keys at check in. Clearly has long term residence who were not friendly

Great stay

Our stay was great. We travel a lot for business and stay in a wide variety of hotels and this was amongst my best nights sleep. The room was clean and quiet. the beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was clean, big shower, good water pressure, the room had a coffee pot and a nice closet. They also offer a very nice breakfast. I highly recommended this hotel. I hope to be back.

Avoid unless you are desparate.

I don't normally write things like this, I felt it necessary to warn people.. I'm not sure that this building has been renovated or updated since the Nixon administration. While the room wasn't dirty, it wasn't good. Poor mattresses, no usable outlets, no desk and the shower was awful. No curtain, just a flimsy liner, that would blow into the shower and stick to you, whenever you moved. The only saving grace was access to the breakfast buffet, pool, and other facilities, at the neigboring Best Western. I got the feeling that this hotel was being used as a shelter, by the city or the Sault Tribe, with help from Best Western.
