The room itself just needs a little updating. It looks like the carpet was not vacuumed at all. The beds were comfortable. The room had a little musky odor to it. It was a great location. Right across from the soo locks and close to shopping.

Close to downtown and was quiet in the evening. Water pressure was great for the shower. Beds were rough. Towels were few and tiny. Found out later that they did carry larger towels and there wasn’t a shortage.

We loved that it is right across from the Locks!

Convenient to center of town

It was good

Very good location to view the locks.

Was bombarded with marijuana smoke every time we left our room and everytime we came back. It was hot during our visit and we could not open the windows because of the pot smoking all around us. The heat did not work in our room either so we were cold at night and prisoners in our room when we were at the room during the day.

Bathrooms too small sheets don’t fit the beds Stayed here 45 years last time was this last stay. For price should expect more

Location across the street from the locks was exactly where we wanted to be. However, the deluxe room was very basic, the walls were super thin (I could hear the one room playing Mad Libs and they weren’t being loud; heard alarms from rooms above and next to ours; kitchen noise from the restaurant sounded like it was from in our room), room was tidy upon arrival. Stay here for the location but don’t expect much else.

We had a room with picture window facing the soo locks so we could see ships entering licks

It was very clean, location was great. Bed was comfortable.

For the price point and the location I was pretty pleased. We went during the dead of winter and had to wait a bit for somebody to show up since nobody was manning the reception, but they gave us a little discount for the wait. No breakfast service during that season so that you let us grab yogurt and pastries for the next day. Room was standard, pretty comfy and had ample hot water for a shower. Close to restaurants and shops downtown and by the Soo Lock.

Great value. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to locks, stores, and restaurants. Open year-round.

Small quaint, clean and quiet motel. The staff is great and they are very welcoming to my canine travel partner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found it hard to actually open the door. I used two different keys, but it was still a struggle, like the keys were copies of copies that didn't quite line up with the locking mechanism. I found an old copy of coffee in my room and a used bandaid behind the stand beside the bed when I went to plug in a charger cord, so they could be a little more thorough when cleaning, but otherwise, the room seemed clean and smelled nice. It's an old hotel, with all the associated issues, but handy to the Locks and shops

Excellent location for walking to the locks, shops & restaurants. Nice breakfast, including fresh fruit and hot food. Nice areas to sit outside.
