Booked from 8/28-8/30 based on the listing photos & reviews. Unfortunately I didn’t check the negative reviews as they would have saved me from having to deal with this place. Let’s start off with parking. It is advertised that parking is local off site - I believe when I complained they claimed 600 ft away, yeah that’s not true at all. Over two blocks up & one down in an unlit lot that looks abandoned. To make that matter worse, pin provided to enter the lot didn’t even work. The “hotel” itself, and I use that word lightly, is NOT a hotel at all. It is a renovated house/building sitting next to a rundown property with people roaming freely. Yes! People under the influence roaming freely. I took videos of two who were walking straight into the street and near my car while I sat outside this property arguing for a refund. They continued to say the area was safe which I explained what one person is comfortable with does not mean that’s the actuality of the situation. The listing is a huge misrepresentation. They ultimately refused to refund me & it took my legal threats to get one night back from them while they kept the rest of my reservation & parking fee. I ended up having to handle it with Expedia for over 24hrs & book another hotel as we had no where to stay. Cherry on top, they charged me for my stay again after I asked for a refund and when I reported that to Expedia lied about it being accidental when I paid for parking. Stay away from here!!!

I was only in Puerto Rico for a night, but SO GLAD I booked my stay at Patio Elba. The hotel is very close to Coliseo de Puerto Rico which is why I was in town. As soon as I booked with them, they were always very communicative over text and emails. I arrived at the hotel around 12:30PM and they were able to accommodate early check-in. The lady I spoke with at the front desk was very kind and gave me some travel tips about the surrounding area. I got a heads up to not wander too much outside of the hotel late at night just because we were in the city area, but I never felt unsafe during my stay here. The room itself was squeaky clean. I had a little kitchen to myself, the bathroom was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The overall space is spacious for 1 person. If you're here for a quick getaway I would definitely recommend!!

Patio Elba Boutique Hotel is truly a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome — their warmth and attentiveness made the stay extra special. The accommodations were both cute and comfortable, striking that perfect balance between style and coziness. The location couldn’t have been better: close enough to explore everything easily, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. cutesy little stay!!

this stay was so simple. they walked us through every step (check in is honestly the easiest i’ve had. they text you all the codes day of!) before we even expected. we went to pr for a 7 day trip but only stayed in patio elba 2/7 & honestly i would’ve stayed all 5 nights had we stayed in san juan!! everything is so comfortable, a/c gets SO cold (which was heaven w outside being 90+ everyday), everything is clean, you have everything you need, and water pressure is even amazing. what made it even better is that it’s in the middle of everything! 787 coffee (iykyk) is a 8-10 minute walk. we unfortunately didn’t get to really use the pool or jacuzzi but just bc we stayed busy & i guess it depends on the vibe (definitely an intimate sit and chill spot if ur down) def recommend if you’re staying in san juan!
