We had originally planned to stay at another property in Salzburg but we had issues with their cleanliness and fitness to be in hospitality business really so we refused to stay another night. The hotel staff was able to find us accomodations at the 11th hour and went out extra distance to help us out once we explained our predicament (10 pm and without a place to stay). The property is across the street from Salzburg Football (soccer) stadium, a big shopping mall (and even IKEA) and a train station. The parking at the property is very expensive but there are affordable (and safe) parking options close-by. I can't rate this property highly enough.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the Salzburg area and, like me, tend to do your homework—reading reviews, comparing prices, opening multiple tabs—save yourself the trouble and just book The Passenger Hotel. It’s truly the best! The hotel is new, which means it’s fresh, modern, and very clean. The staff was wonderful at every step—from check-in, to the restaurant, to check-out. Everyone we interacted with was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Parking is available for a fee, but it’s super convenient. Moreover, there are great dining options and shopping just a short 3–5 minute walk away. I’m not sure if I’ll ever have the chance to return to the Salzburg area, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend this fantastic hotel to fellow travelers. Highly recommended!

I booked a king room and I got a twin bedroom. I never got back the difference for my room . The bed shook so bad when the train stopped that i almost fell off the bed. Very noisy as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place .

We had an overall good experience staying at the passenger hotel in Salzburg. There is a big mall 4 min away with plenty of shops and food choices. The train to the city center is 5 min walk away. The gym is very modern, including a reformer Pilates as well. The hotel is about 4 km from the city centre, we walked to the city centre, as we love exploring the non turistic areas as well, but there are lots of busses going to that direction too. The Salzburg airport is also 4 km away from the hotel. The room was very clean, and the food was pretty great!

The hotel is relatively new, and as a result, it boasts excellent facilities and is impeccably clean. While it is located a bit farther from the city center—about a 30-40 minute bus ride (just 5 minutes walk to the bus stop or Sbahn station though)—the convenience of having IKEA and shopping mall Europark right across the street more than makes up for it. This is ideal for those who are looking to explore these attractions or need shopping options nearby. The room, while well-appointed, is on the smaller side. If you have two large pieces of luggage, it might feel a bit cramped and maneuvering around could be challenging. That said, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and well-designed, offering a relaxing space after a long day. The staff were consistently friendly and professional, both at the Front Office and in F&B, making our stay more enjoyable. However, there was an issue with housekeeping: despite not having a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door, our room was missed for cleaning on one of the days leading up to our checkout. While this wasn’t a major inconvenience, it was an unexpected oversight. Overall, this hotel offers great value for those looking for a clean, comfortable stay with good access to nearby attractions.

Excellent new hotel, glad we got to stay there for our trip to Salzburg. The employees at reception and at the hotel bar were gracious hosts and were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They gave us great information, and made our stay even better. They definitely hired the right people for the job. I enjoyed the location, parking, and the room. My one criticism would be that the bathroom door has a mechanism that makes it automatically shut when I wanted the door to stay open, but it was just a minor inconvenience. All in all, a very nice hotel next to a very big shopping mall. We'll be back!

The Room was comfy, The only thing missing was tea in the bedroom as they only catered for coffee drinkers. Der Besuch beginnt mit einer nicht vorhandenen Beschilderung für den Check-In. Die Navigationsgeräte verweisen zudem auf eine Einfahrt vor dem Hotel, die an einer Fußgängerunterführung endet. Gleich mehrere Fahrzeuge sind hier falsch abgebogen. Findet man die richtige Einfahrt, so ist nicht ersichtlich, wie man das Hotel in diesem Gebäude erreicht. Der offizielle Hoteleingang befindet sich hinter einer Schranke, die nicht befahrbar ist. Hat man sich dann an den Check-In-Schalter vorgearbeitet, wird die Tiefgarage für 25 Euro die Nacht angeboten. Im Gebäude gibt es so gut wie keine automatischen Türen (außer zwei Stück in der Tiefgarage, aber nur im offiziellen Hotelparkbereich). Die restlichen Türen müssen mit Gepäck "aufgestemmt" werden. Auf dem Zimmer fehlte die Fernbedienung für den TV. Erst nach 2 Anrufen und über 2 Stunden Wartezeit wurde ein Ersatzgerät auf das Zimmer gebracht. In der Dusche war das Body- UND Haarshampoo leer, die Handseife kurz davor. Trotz Zimmerservice zwischen zwei Nächten wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Die Kaffeemaschine enthielt noch die Pads des vorherigen Besuchers. Die Klimaanlage war bei 28 Grad Außentemperatur überfordert und machte sich durchgehend durch lauten Betrieb bemerkbar. Das Frühstück hielt keine Überraschungen parat. Zudem ist eine Kaffeemaschine für ein Haus dieser Größe zu Stoßzeiten deutlich zu wenig. Pluspunkt: Ein morgens verschatteter Außenbereich kann genutzt werden. Die Preisvorstellung für das Gebotene ist deutlich zu hoch.
