Good stay but not great

Bed was hard, blanket scratchy, pillow was smushy, and slept terrible. We left at 1030pm to take our daughter back to NIU who we came to visit for the night. No parking. Utility work vehicle and semi parked blocking numerous spots. Had to park in yellow area in front of a fire hydrant. The front office lady Brenda offered her spot. Very generous. I left it for other guest circling around building like myself. Nice breakfast and very clean establishment.

This was a great location for my stay in DeKalb. The check-in was easy. The hotel was clean. The room was spacious and quiet with lots of amenities, including a midsize refrigerator not a full size, but not a mini fridge like you would see in a dorm room, this one was about 5 1/2 feet tall.

It was clean, staff was nice, one of the best smelling hotels i have been to in the last year. The only issue was not with the hotel, but the pool is a bit smaller and some of he guests in the pool was rowdy (as in deliberately splashing water with their hands verses splashing when jumping in) and i have two smaller kids that had to leave as these guest decided to splash waster on everyone.
