First Fishing Trip of the year

Property is in a great location for both adults and children. Aside from some AC issues we truly enjoyed our stay as always. Will be booking again, hopefully.

Just went fishing with a buddy

The property was very nice and clean. It is very comfortable and close to the water. My advice is bring mosquito spray for sure. The fishing pier was convenient though it seems like it has seen some better days, it is narrow and missing railings so I would be hesitant to let little ones run amok or for that matter imbibe to much because it is the ultimate sobriety test. We did catch fish even though the weather wasn’t exactly cooperative. There is a convenience store/bait shop/cafe very close and also a public fishing area if you get tired of fishing at the property. Appliances worked well, everything was clean.

Good fishing at Sabine Pass

We overall had a great time. We caught alot of fish but were a little disappointed in the condition of the dock and the lack of a landing at the end of the dock. We did most of our fishing at the public pier.

Great place to stay on Sabine lake. Host was very responsive to any questions before and during the visit. House is nice and looks to have been recently redone. Excellent fishing from the pier.

Sabine Lake Fishing

We fished a tournament on Sabine Lake. This cabin was perfect to support our 3 days of fishing. Secure location for our boats and very close to the boat ramp. Cabin was clean and provided the necessities. Screened porch overlooking the lake was a great place to relax after a day on the water.

Great for a relaxing fishing trip

This is a nice place for a relaxing fishing trip. Not too far from amenities (grocery store, restaurants) in Port Arthur, and there is a little grocery bait store a mile or two down the road (with live shrimp!). The pier is long and we caught a nice variety of fish. Good space under the house to stay out of the sun, cook and enjoy the breeze.

Always enjoy our stay at this property. Location is perfect for fishing both at Sabine Lake and the ship channel. Access to restaurants and stores is just a few miles away.

second trip

Room for a 24' boat on the trailer under the house, family of 5 upstairs, and you're 5 mins from a brand new free boat ramp. Better fishing, less people, and a fraction of the commercial traffic than Galveston...we'll be back again.

Hidden Gem

We love this place. This is our second year to stay. It is always clean, comfortable and they are always improving this property. The pier is amazing and never disappoints. This year alone we caught three redfish that could have been tagged, but we released. Great place to make memories with friends or family!

We’ve stayed twice now and will certainly be back again. The screened in porch and the view out onto the lake is simply priceless. I Would highly recommend this place for anyone that is looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. In addition, the new wharf handrails makes the fishing even easier. The wharf is perfect for those that enjoy catching more than fishing!

Great Place!

The location was perfect for launching the boat 5 minutes down the road to go out fishing. The house and the amenities were awesome, the beds slept great, and the pier produced a monster sized gar at the end of one of our shark rods! The parking was large enough to turn and park a 22 foot bay boat. We will repeat this VRBO rental! I highly recommend and the host could not have been any nicer :)

Summer Fishing

Enjoyed our stay but did have a few issues. The trash was not picked up before or during our stay so we weren't able to set out our inside trash when it was full. Did communicate with the hostesses about the issue which I hope she was able to get taken care of for the next guests. Also, we noticed that the drawers in both bedroom's had been removed since our previous stay. That was disappointing since we had nowhere to store our clothing so we lived out of our suitcases for the 5 days we were there. This may not be an issue for some but even hotels & motels have furniture for the storage of clothing, especially when staying for a lengthy amount of time. Would have given 5 stars if not for the garbage issue!!
