Wonderful gem. We used it as a base for a nostalgia tour of old family haunts throughout southern Illinois. Wonderful breakfast accompanied terrific amenities. It certainly lived up to its name as a respite.

Hidden gem! What a wonderful, comfortable stay. Our room was spacious and very well laid out. The bed and pillows were ultra comfortable. I loved the breakfast, it was so delicious with lots of choices and good coffee. The house is beautiful, a cool addition is the billiards room hidden behind a bookcase. So chic.
