We had a good overnight stay. The lobby was welcoming with a veggie tray and cookies for guests. The staff was super friendly, especially Jesse, who was extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was smaller, but adequate and kept at a tolerable temperature. Bonus, it is indoors, so you can swim regardless of the weather. Breakfast was ok. There were many restaurants and shops around. The only quibble with this stay was that there aren't any elevators so, if you need the first floor, I'd make sure to book that ahead. Paducah was having a quilt convention at the time and has many events. We also visited the Kentucky dam. Worth the trip.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. Their is no elevator that I could find I heard a lady complaining about it. The only problem I had was the window in my room was all fogged up and you couldn't see out of it. The breakfast was average but the breakfast area is small and I was left with no place to sit. Decent place to stay for a night or two.
I'm new to requesting a handicapped accessible room, and found many variations of what type of room this is on our 2 week road trip. Room #122 met our needs, especially having a large bathroom with walk-in shower that had a bench and hand held shower head. Many grab bars had been installed in the shower and around the toilet. The room was large and included a couch, lounge chair, desk, etc. However the mattress was uncomfortable, as the coils could be felt when laying on it. The housekeeping staff needs to do a major cleaning of the room and shower. First there is mold on the shower grout, and then the furniture is "sticky". And please clean the phone. A night light in the bathroom would be appreciated.
There were lots of close places to eat and hotel staff was very good at recommending. Room was clean and nicely set up. We felt we were in a good, secure area. We saw kids enjoying themselves in the indoor pool.
Rooms were comfortably sized and clean. Bring a portable fan...the fans on the HVAC units ran extremely quiet so you could hear voices in the halls and doors shutting. Didn't take advantage of the pool or exercise room but the hot breakfast was great. Hotel was a short drive to many restaurants & stores.
We were driving through on our way home to Florida and just wanted a place to sleep for a few hours. Quality suites are usually pretty reliably clean if basic so we stopped there. The desk clerk was nice and friendly. We were given a room on the second floor with no real convenient way to get to it except up stairs off the front lobby even though we were closer to the other end of the building. The room had the feeling of someone living in it. The beds were rumpled and there were long black hairs all over the tub and a dirty plastic spoon on a table. We got a new room and I promptly stepped on a bottle cap next to the bed. There were dead bugs in the sink. We were tired and went to bed anyway. The bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast was a horror. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, and smashed biscuits in the same steamer making everything rubbery, flabby and soggy. The juice dispenser didn't work. Needless to say we went on down the road for better food. Overall a big disappointment.
We picked up a hotel coupon book at the welcome center where I saw an excellent price for this hotel. I tried to make a reservation through the Choice Hotels App, but the best rate was $35 higher than the coupon so I called the Choice Hotels reservation desk and the best rate they quoted me was $6 higher than the app ($41 higher than the coupon). So I called the front desk and they said they would honor the coupon rate and would hold a room for us. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about the "Quality" brand as those are not always great, but I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel has been completely refurbished and they did a great job. The room was very nice, everything worked, had all the amenities you would expect at a nice suites hotel. Everything was super clean, nice and new and good workmanship, not patched or sloppy. The beds were comfortable, the A/C unit worked well and was reasonably quiet. The WiFi worked well and there were plenty of available outlets for charging electronics. The breakfast was not bad either. They had all the usual cereal & pastries plus waffles, bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy. The breakfast area was attended and maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient. If I was looking for a negative, the HDTV was connected to a standard cable signal, not High Definition, but since we only turned it on for news and weather it was no big deal. For the coupon rate this was a great deal.
In traveling to Paducah, we were hoping to find a hotel at a reasonable rate that was near the sites we wanted to see. We found it at the Quality Inn. The Inn is situated in a very busy area, but within walking distance of eating establishments. The room was clean, but noisy at time from outside noise. The room also had plenty of outlets for charging the tech savvy traveler. The breakfast menu was varied to suit most any tastes, both hot and cold. The wait person worked to keep the serving area clean and orderly. I would stay here again. The price met our expectations.
On our way home. Stayed one night only. Night clerk very nice and helpful, i asked for a ground floor room and he was able to accommodate (no elevator there). Quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was the normal ...waffles, etc.
Driving back from Florida and ran into some foul weather. Decided to pull off to get a few hours sleep and wait out the storm. Cameron at the front desk was very helpful at 1am to find me the best rate for the night. Room was very clean and breakfast in the morning was as expected. A great experience for a nights sleep
