We loved the Respite Bed and Breakfast. It was charming but up to date. It is beautifully decorated and has all the modern conveniences. We loved that it has a self check in. Our host let us know that our room was ready early and we appreciated that. Our reservation through Expedia included either breakfast at the Respite or a voucher for a restaurant in the town. We chose the breakfast in the Respite and we're so glad we did. The food was delicious we so enjoyed meeting our host and the other guests. The Respite is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. And Paducah is a very friendly town! We will definitely go back.

My New Favorite Inn

The Respite B&B is absolutely gorgeous. This may be the most comfortable, clean, roomy, and beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. The owner/operators have created an elegant yet inviting inn. Breakfast was freshly cooked and yummy, and Shelly was generous with her time and info about the Inn and the town. Stay here in Paducah, you won’t be sorry!

We stayed at the Respite for two nights while in town visiting family. The Inn is beautifully maintained and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast on one of our mornings there and it was very good. We would happily stay here again.

Honestly, because of multiple festivals and events that weekend, my first choice was sold out, but the Respite ad looked comparable and I got their last room…and that them made them sold out, too. The facility is nicely appointed in traditional art, antiques and decor. The room seemed much nicer than its pictures, so that was a pleasant surprise. Perhaps the spacious balcony porch with its padded rocking chairs was my favorite spot. The staff person person onsite was quite cordial, hospitable and competent, including their breakfast cooking. The Respite is also extremely convenient to the Convention and Expo Center. Now that a day has passed, I believe “Respite” is a perfect name for this jewel in Paducah.

We had a wonderful stay and the place is beautiful! And the owner was so accommodating and so informative, and I love the piano in the larger room that I had the opportunity to play a little bit of it. We will make sure to come back again when we visit Paducah, Kentucky, highly recommend it!!

This is a B & B of class and quality!

Respite is an excellent name for this beautiful private home! The sheets were pure luxury, the room spacious and so comfortable, pristine and altogether lovely - the balcony too! We cannot tell you anything about the owner since we never saw her, we let ourselves in and out and the one breakfast we had was excellent! Sad it was but one....
