You get what you pay for. Noisy and Internet in doom did not work. No natural light and they play live piano at 8am, so plan to be awake. Staff were nice and lobby interesting but overall? Would not return.

The hotel is centrally located close to restaurants and shopping. We asked for late check out, it was declined even though the rooms were empty afterwards. The ac wasn’t working and the hot water ran out after a couple of minutes.

The staff was welcoming and professional from the moment we arrived. We stopped by early to drop off our luggage before check-in, and they tagged each bag and provided us with a receipt. While this may seem like a small detail, I really appreciated the extra security. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated with an elegant old-world charm that added a lot of character to the experience. The only minor drawback was that the room had a low mechanically noice at times. It wasn’t enough to disturb our sleep, but it’s something worth noting for light sleepers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

We stayed at this hotel last year and wanted to book again for last week but they didn’t have availability. We stayed at another hotel nearby but then decided to stay an extra night in city so I booked stay at Casa Garay yesterday. Young man at check in looked annoyed, didn’t welcome us or mention we had breakfast included. He didn’t help us or have someone help us carry the bags up 2 floors. When I came back down, I noticed that everyone else was treated differently and were helped with their bags to their rooms. Hotel is pretty, rooms are nice and location is great, however we were let down by staff this stay.

The location is great, just 2blocks to the Zocalo or Mercado’s. The hotel is clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. On the down side, the halls were noisy and the beds were very hard. However, the shower was hot and the price is right.
