Girls Trip

Over all the stay was good. The house was cute. Our group loved the atrium and the common spaces. However the cleanliness was lacking. The floors had food on them and needed attention. Lack of towels for the number of people in our party for a week.

Beautiful, spacious cabin!

Oh my! This cabin was everything advertised and more. Beautiful setting, spacious, and extremely clean. So many amenities. The beds were comfy, cozy. All the furniture in excellent condition. We wished we could have stayed longer. We all agreed we would like to return. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, quiet,relaxing and secluded cabin

Great place to unwind & enjoy nature. We planned our stay so we didn’t need to leave cabin. Enjoyed Hot tub, atrium, & deck with multiple seating options. Accommodations accurate. Nice “welcome” treats. Visitors should Consider distance and travel from St Rd 46 if planning other activities in Brown County. Cabin is secluded & off the “beaten path”.

Such a great cabin!

5 friends stayed at this cabin for a girls retreat. This place was amazing! Situated in gorgeous woods with outstanding views. We loved the enclosed, heated sunroom and ended up spending most of our days in there. It was cold and rainy during our trip, so being warm and cozy in this bright space, while hearing the rain on the roof was pretty cool. The cabin has everything you need for cooking and preparing meals. The beds are comfy. Couldn't have asked for a better place to get away from it all.

Magical Weekend with Family

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our family included 3 adult children. Snow on the ground, record cold temperatures - but the cabin was cozy, so much to do (hot tub, games, bird watching, movies, ping pong and pool). The kitchen is wonderfully equipped and we enjoyed cooking together and eating around the lovely dining room table. The cabin is exactly as shown in the pictures - a gem!

Family Christmas

I am a busy caterer in northern Indiana, so the holidays are always a challenge when trying to get together with my southern Indiana family. Consequently, we usually have our family Christmas in January! I rented the cabin for a few days, and my adult children arrived at different times. My mother and brother live in southern Indiana...mom came and stayed the duration. My brother and his adult kids all arrived on Saturday for Christmas dinner. The cabin has enough living areas that everyone was comfortable... a huge dining table for great meals together... and the owners left the Christmas decor out for us! It was a wonderful time...except for having to leave a day early due to a snow storm that would have snowed us in. Would love to come back in the summertime! The entire family agreed that it was the best cabin we've rented so far with room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.

Wonderful weekend

Were greeted by a kind welcome gift of pastries and cider from a local cafe. House is exactly as pictured. Plenty of space for 7 adults and 2 small kids. We have local family in the area and we were all able to have supper together, converse and play games in the main room. The younger crew enjoyed games in the lower level lqter in the evening. Wonderful time spent in a peaceful retreat.

Secluded Log Cabin

This was an amazing property with beautiful views from the atrium of woods and nature! Secluded and quiet, but also just 20min from Nashville IN. Communication with property manager was great! Highly recommend as one of the nicer log cabins in this area to stay in. We loved our time here!

Nice private cabin

Communication was great from the owner. Hot tub worked very well. Kitchen was stocked with every pot/pan/utensil you can think of. Gas grill was in great working order. Great air conditioning throughout the cabin. Property was very clean and in good condition- no complaints whatsoever.

3 Master Suites

This home was perfect. Clean and very well stocked. Loved the water feature. Quiet! Perfect place to unwind in the Atrium. It was blissful when it rained and we watched through the glass. It had so many places to relax. Each level has a bedroom and bath, so it’s like a master suite on each floor. Perfect for three couples!! Or two couples and the kids upstairs. Thoughtfully have gates for the stairs. It kept our puppy on the same floor as us. Went into Ninevah and ate at Grillerz. It was wonderful to find delicious food in a tiny town! You won’t regret staying in this home. Marisa was extremely nice and helpful.

Celebrating 50 in a slice of paradise

Communication with Marisa was top notch! The property was spotless. The accommodations were aMaZiNg, except the pull-out sofa downstairs. I strongly don't recommend it for anyone with back problems, or arthritis, as it sleeps like a 1" thick foam pad on 1' thick springs (I drew the short straw.) The drive to civilization was a minium of 10-15 minutes which the four of us enjoyed immensely, but "fast-paced" city folk may or may not enjoy. We had neighbors, but they were "country neighbors" - Heaven! Marisa left us welcome snacks and fresh eggs (thank you, again!) which was a very nice, and unexpected touch. If you can't find a place to sit, inside or out, then you aren't even looking. There was plenty of practical/comfortable, lounging, and any other kind of seating that you could ever want, both on the decks and in the home. We 110% appreciated the extremely efficient air conditioning (in the 90°+ heat). The back-up generator came on immediately when the power flashed on and off a couple of days. (There was a snafu with the power on our second day that rectified itself, and Marisa IMMEDIATELY sent someone to reset the hot tub (per the instructions to follow in the book, in case of a power outage). There's PLENTY to do in the area. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay at Acre Ridge Cabin, and have already discussed the idea of returning this fall! 15 out of 10 - Highly recommend!! Signed, Four 50/almost 50 year old classmates who've been friends since the early's.

Peaceful

We stayed from 5/12 - 5/17. To say that our stay was peaceful is an understatement. The property is secluded. There are two houses within earshot, and we never heard a single noise from either house. There might have been 10 vehicles per day to pass by on that road. The experience was exactly what we were looking for/needed. The only negative item that we could find in other people's reviews, was about the mattress in the master bedroom. I hated the mattress, but my wife absolutely loved it. She literally said this morning (days later) that she misses that bed. Everyone has a different preference, so please don't let that scare you off. The atrium (glass room) was excellent for the rainy days and cool mornings. We enjoyed the peace most of all.
