Ruin my mental health trip

I got to my room on may 7 around 10 pm and I saw that I was given the wrong room. I called the 24 hr concierge number to inform about the if and that the ac was not working. They told me to email them what my hotel.com recipient that started the correct room and I did but nobody replied after sent so I called again and they said they contacted someone about the issue and I didn’t here from anyone the rest of the evening. I called back in the am and nothing changed again. I called again about the wrong room and the ac and still nothing was done. I called hotel.com to see if they can do anything but they just called them again and nothing was done done. I stayed in the wrong room with no ac for 2 days aka the whole trip. I didn’t get what w paid for.

The room was nice and big enough. It was just kinda loud at night from others stay. It was unfortunate we couldn’t check in sooner than 4. The lobby was really cold but at least we didn’t have to wait outside in the rain.

Early check in was not an option which was unfortunate because the baseball game we were planning on going to that day got postponed. When we arrived we wanted to at least park so we could Uber somewhere while we waited for 4pm check in. The parking was valet and no in and out. (The positive thing was that it was cheaper than advertised, around 50$ for two nights. That was reasonable) Instead we went to the Bronx brewery and drank a few beers while we waited. When we got to the hotel the code to access the hotel worked but the one provided for the room did not. The customer service never answered the phone but would call you back 20 minutes later to help. The actual room was in disrepair and had repair work needed to be done. I.e. the blinds that would open to show the city view fell off the roll and was forced up by a hand towel. Didn't feel safe to walk at night to any near by restaurants. Door dash couldn't find the hotel to deliver until the second attempt. For the price I paid I was let down.

First off all make sure you pay the extra for cancelation ability!! Had a family emergency and they wouldnt give us a straight answer for days about a refund. So, instead of losing hundreds of dollars we had to stay there. Mind you it was a 6 hour drive there and when we got there our code to get in didnt work. We called them to see what was going on and they said we canceled our reservation. No, we asked if we did could we get a refund and they said that management would have to make that decision. Well, thank god after being on the phone with a great gentleman from south africa, we were able to get in. Room was ok. Needs to be painted and updated a bit. Blinds were broke, unsafe tiles on outside balcony, tp holder and towel rack was broke on wall, dirty on bottom of bed ect. Could pass as a decent motel. Parking was a nightmare. Really tight underneath the building. Man working there was nice enough to help. But be aware you have to walk a bit to get to outside entrance if using garage. If you are planning to visit Manhattan uber will be 45 to 80 bucks from hotel. Drivers i used are really nice though. Close to yankee stadium but there are cheaper places to get. Overall a c-. Would not stay there again as it seems profit over customer service when it comes to billing dept.

False advertisement all the way around and nobody to communicate with the customer service department was rude room wasn’t ready at 4 was there for a family funeral that I was late getting to when I died at the booking for a early check in and was never notified if it was possible or not no patio at all bathroom sink nob was broken toilet seat broke and the fact they did a rush job on the cleaning was even diabolical but I had no choice because I had no where else to go at short notice in the area that I needed to be in

Extremely Frustrating Experience – Worst Customer Service Ever I had a terrible experience booking this hotel. From the start, I was asked to resubmit pictures of my ID and credit card multiple times, even though I had already submitted them. This endless cycle of resubmission was frustrating. Despite my payment being processed a week before our reservation, I was still asked for more documents due to a “billing issue.” I couldn’t understand how they took my payment but then claimed a billing issue. When we arrived, we couldn’t access our room because of the same “billing issue.” After 30 minutes of waiting at the front desk, we were told to leave and received a call and text saying we couldn’t stay. When I called for a refund, a representative (Sean or John) told me a refund wasn’t guaranteed, even though we had already been kicked out. I am still waiting for my refund, and I won’t stop until I get it due to their lack of communication. The address on my license didn’t match the billing address because I had just moved. They didn’t seem to understand this simple explanation. This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I travel often. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly didn’t know how to handle any situation. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.

The hotel has a number of issues from leeks in the halls, the faucets are not installed correctly causing mold issues. But worst is the lack of communication, unprofessional and hostile environment created by staff. Like having a man, that is not in a uniform, or even having a name tag on knock on your door and demand payment. To canceling reservations with no notice. Are just two of the many issues.

Overall an amazing experience! The location was 8 minutes from my job and very quiet. Only noise you will hear is from the highway (not a bug deal). I would love for the property to have onsite persons to speak with. The property is beautiful, but the 1:1 would make this an even better experience. I am not a fan of the email from Global asking for a picture of my credit card. Especially in a world filled with scammers-this would turn anyone away. Last thing, Our room had fixtures that there broken. The sink in the bath wasn't applied correctly. It didn't have a seal to hold it in place. The bed frame is beautiful, but the baseboard is weak. Sitting on the edge of the bed wasn't secure and I didn't want it to break. My husband and I will be back. Hopefully for a longer experience.

There’s not enough room to write about the disappointment s. This is NOT LUXURY! The property is in an unsafe area; no onsite management; rooms look great in pictures but CLEAR EVIDENCE of the destruction the migrants left: filthy walls; loose electrical wires; no emergency customer service; difficulty with codes entering building and rooms; marijuana odor all over the place; only a couple of exceptions in good customer service; evidence of pets being tied up on balconies and locked in bathrooms; sinking mattress; unpaired remote control for TV; no billing compensation for poor service and delayed availability; mold in shower; broken bath fixtures. (I have photos to prove everything). I would never stay here again.
