I loved staying here and will definitely be back! It was very clean and the room was very big and had a nice little mini kitchen as well! Only thing was parking was a mess ! We had to park in the parking lot on the other side cause we couldn’t find a park on our side but a little stroll never hurt!

Friendly staff, but seem disorganized during check in. This is definitely a family friendly resort and place seemed to be packed full to the point where it was crowded in all pools, beach area, and open community spaces.

I booked the pinnacle deluxe queen suite and got an entirely different room. Called the front desk and Expedia and no one did anything about it. The room was dirty, the dresser drawers were broken, mold on the ceiling, and no pillows or blankets for the pull out bed. The floor was filthy. Would never stay there again.

I did like the property and how attentive the staff was. I also enjoyed the DJ by the pools and the bar. One thing I think would be good is to add a broom and dustpan to each of the rooms for easy sand clean up. Our hotel was very sandy and I didn’t feel it was right to constantly reach out to have someone clean our messes. Other than that it was very nice.

In my opinion there are other comparable properties (price, location, amenity wise) that I would probably choose over compass cove. We decided to stay here because we had stayed at this location about 10 years ago. I remember it being very nice and well kept. This time around the property definitely looked very dated. Pictures shown for the booking are photos of updated rooms on the property. Not all rooms have been updated and the room we were given definitely was not updated as it had a lot of damage to the bathroom and outdated furnishings. With all of this in mind, our stay was still decent for a weekend trip. The staff delivered towels daily and checked in via text. We were able to check in about 30 minutes early and the front desk staff was extremely nice! This property is a short walk to a small market and about .5 mile from a pancake house. Wish it were closer to a few other options. We did try the on-sight coffee shop and it was okay. They have coffee and pastries available for purchase. Overall I would say our stay was okay.

The check in line was horrible. Over an hour and half wait time. Then the room was wrong and where I had booked under hotels.com the property would t work with hotels .com to fix it. The communication between employees wasn’t great and everyone seemed rushed. Parking sucks. But overall the pools and easy access to the beach was great. Gift shop a little overpriced but not too bad and you have to request extra towels and to have your room serviced

Disliked: Room comfort

The room was outdated which i knew by the pictures. The beds were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was very narrow hate to see a larger person sit on the toilet. The room was not the cleanest. They only had decaf coffee for the rooms they were out of regular. The hotel amenities were great for the kids, pools, lazy river, waterslides and great daly pool entertainment. The beach was steps away and the lication was great.

Nightmare at compass cove/Pinnacle building

There were bug markings in cabinet,couldn't get trash bags or a broom..we paid for a room we don't get an had to turn guests away,our balcony was soaked the whole time,we were short two beds,one was in the floor the whole time with no blankets,I had a copy of what I booked,bc I booked something bigger after cancelling a room like that and I pd more for it,the new room that we didn't get,I've tried to work this out with compass cove and hotels.com it ruined our trip ,no one has done anything about this nightmare,we feel it was intentional,...and I will be taking the next steps
