I loved everything about the Residence Inn by Marriot (in downtown Montreal)! My mom and I were there for a week. The location is central with the Metro half a block away, Sherbrook Street with all the big meuseums a block up the road as well as McGill Campus a few blocks off. The Inn offers good buffet breakfast which changes a bit every day and offers a good variety from waffles to sausage and eggs, to cereal...fruit bowl and yogurt...the kitchen staff are friendly and polite. The front desk reception were just lovely, gave us the tour maps and useful advice and answered all our questions. When we checked in early and checked out, they kept our luggage for us while we enjoyed touring around. They recommended good places to eat. I wish I had asked for their names - they even tried to help us with our last minute search for a trip to Ottawa...I will definitely come back to this place and highly recommend it. Merci beaucoup! The is good, the breakfast area is the worst part of Marriott I ever been. They only have couple options to eat. Plus the receptionist is not informative.
