The staff was fine, but the hotel was run down and not clean or up to date. We won't be staying there again.
Great location and a block from 3 major metro lines. Very friendly staff.
A very dated hotel in need of some major upgrades. Stayed one night at Hotel St Andre and I was glad it was only for the one night. Some stains on the white bed sheets were a bit of a turnoff, and the interior and furniture in the room was very old. Bed squeaked a lot when moving around and the lamps were dusty. Some positives though are the location (30 second walk to St Catherine St/2 minutes to Station Berri-UQAM), the friendly service, and a decent continental breakfast delivered right to your room!)
We found this hotel last time we visited Montreal and liked that it is clean, hotel staff is friendly and willing to give you info about the city, it is comfortable( not the Ritz comfortable but you can get a good night sleep) and you don't feel like you are unsafe in this hotel. This hotel is in a great place right off of St. Catherine and not far from many great Montreal sites and right near a subway stop too, the staff will tell you how to use the subway if you have questions. One of our favorite things about this hotel that we were never aware of was that you get breakfast brought to your room, it is not eggs and bacon but it is a nice baguette and croissant with coffee and juice. It is free and a real nice thing in the morning. We have made this hotel our go to in Montreal and will always stay here.
I enjoyed staying there very friendly people there
There is no parking, you have to park at your own risk, on the street or nearby small parking lots. I thought I read in one of the reviews that there was parking, that"s why I booked this hotel.. bed is squeaky.. older hotel with very small sink, needs updating..
I was in Montreal for one night and just needed a place to crash. The accomodations were simple, hallways a little rundown. But it was conveniently located near the Berr-UQAM metro stop and very reasonably priced. The breakfast in the morning was simple but surprisingly tasty.
If you travel by bus, this hotel is just 2 blocks from the bus station. It's also a good location, walking distance to old Montreal and there is a subway station at 3 minutes. The staff is very nice.
Receptionists are very kind and helpful. They even kept my lagguage after check-out.
Very comfortable, close to evrything, nice people, free parcing. I recomend this hotel to stay!
Everything was perfect. Good place, good hotel....
nothing special, but for the price and compared to others in the same range, this seemed to be the best. it was clean, comfortable, quiet and easily accessible. i'd recommend it for anyone looking for a basic and cheap place to stay.
If you need a place to sleep, this is the place for you. It's in a great location, located a minute walk from a metro station. The staff is nice and informal. The room is small, but if you're just in town to site see and explore for a few days it's perfect. We didn't spend much time in the hotel room, but while we were there we felt comfortable and relaxed. The price was great as well. I will be staying here again next time I visit Montreal.
Located in central spot to metro, attractions, & restaurants in Montreal. Thin walls, a bit noisy.
Basic, no frills hotel. But it was neat & comfortable. Loved the free parking & daily breakfast delivered to the room. Right in the Village area. Tons of food and shops within walking distance. Would stay there again. Don't go in expecting a lot. It is no frills and the price reflects that.
I stayed here for two nights. This hotel is at a prime location downtown off of St Catherine street. It was nice to be able to park my car in a private lot rather than on the street. The receptionists are friendly and had great tips on where to visit all around Montreal. The rooms are adequate but nothing special. My favorite part was the free breakfast brought straight to my room at the time I chose the day before - fresh croissants, jam, juice and coffee - yum!
If you want a true Montreal experience, this is the hotel to stay. Not touristy at all, but located right in the Village. Staff was really great about everything and we'll definitely stay there next time we go to Montreal.
The hotel was close to a lot of activities going on but also in a neighborhood that wasnt really safe. I would be scare to be alone at night there. Lots of homeless and drug. The hotel hallways were dirty. The room was so so. Fridg not working, AC cold, light curtain so light comes in early morning. Ice machine in basement only. Elevator goes up to 3rd floor but we were on the 4th. They say free parking but its limited and first come first serve so if you are late you need to pay somewhere to park your car. Day time person at the desk was nice but night time couldnt care less. Breakfast was a nice plus that makes you not totally hate the place but I wouldnt go back. They give you one little soap that doesnt latter and dont give you more. Cheap is cheap but was still too expensive for that place.
We booked the hotel due to its amenities of free parking and internet which are difficult to find in hotels close to the city center. Both turned out great. The location of the hotel is in a so-so area, but it was still within a walking distance from most of Montreal's sights. The hotel room's biggest flaw was a dirty shower which really needed to be redone to improve the room comfort. They also don't give out individual tubes of shampoo and soap, which was also very unappealing. Aside from those two issues, it was a good stay.
Great location besst for the buck. It is smal not fancy but you will get a breakfast to your room
