the hotel is old, the AC is loud, and the breakfast is a joke. i booked my CFO there and i will never book that hotel again. its unfortunate the location is great midtown.

First, I want to highlight the great service from Mireille at the front desk. She was patient with my broken French, polite, quick to answer my questions, even cracked a smile at my bad jokes, and made sure I had an extra pillow. Excellent customer service. Now for the issues: Room 203 had a broken coffee maker. TV remote had dead batteries, and the power button didn’t work. Both the men’s and women’s saunas were out of order. The pool looked larger in the photos than in real life. The beds were advertised as queens, but they felt noticeably smaller. The tub was not properly cleaned (soap scum and stains left behind), the shower handle was loose and hard to adjust for warm water, and there was grime around the fixture. Green toothpaste or some residue was on the bathroom wall near the picture. The smoke detector (or related device) in the washroom was detached, with exposed wires visible. On the positive side: Continental breakfast was good: coffee, cereal, eggs, toast, and bagels were all fresh, and the bananas were a hit with my son. The pool hours were convenient, and since it wasn’t busy, it ended up being a nice private break for my family. The price was reasonable, parking was convenient, and the location was close to stores and many sights. Overall: 3/5 stars. The staff were friendly and the price/location worked well, but the room maintenance and cleanliness need serious improvement. I’d appreciate it if management could follow up with me to discuss this
