Nice they just need to clean the room floors
Location is good lots of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to old port and notre dame de Montreal. First night after we checked in, our room didn’t have hot water, they fixed second day. But did not clean the room during our two days stay. They should inform us when we check in.
Look at previous comments as my previous/first experience was wonderful enough to warrant a second stay.
This property is recommended for any traveler on a budget that wants to be close to transportation (several metro station stops are within walking distance), food, and entertainment. This segment of the city is very active throughout the hours of the night. As a result, light sleepers should think twice before making a final decision. Also, there is no elevator. So, request a room on the first floor if climbing stairs with luggage will be a health hazard. The train station is within walking distance or a very short metro station ride away. If you want a reasonably priced, clean place to stay in the heart of all the action with easy access to transportation, then you have found it here.
Great little spot to stay in Montreal. The hotel was clean and maintained, the room was very clean and tidy upon arrival. In walking distance to Old Montreal and only minutes away from the Metro and bus lines, perfect for travelers! I’ll absolutely stay here again when I come back.
This place is in the perfect location downtown! You won't find a better bang for your buck than here, that's for sure. The building is older, but I didn't notice any problems with the facilities or its cleanliness. I was a bit worried about the shared bathroom, but there were three on my floor so I never had to wait. They provided a continental breakfast every morning of coffee, juice, bagels/toast and yogurt. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're looking for a honeymoon suite, but if you are looking for a decent place to stay for cheap, this is it!
I liked the open brick in all of the rooms and the style of the hotel.

Very modern and comfortable hotel, convenient location, and excellent restaurant Galopin adjacent to the hotel. Very corteous and attentive staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable bed and clean fresh linen.
Staff were excellent. Though there is no elevator, we still had our luggage and stroller for the kids. One of the staff, seeing us ready to leave, helped carry our belongings down the stairs. Room had lots of character, was clean, and was comfortable. Location was perfect, within walking distance to everything we needed. We loved our stay here!
