It’s a very old hotel that needs a face lift. It was conveniently located and I liked that. The girls at the desk were very helpful and nice.

Let me start by saying that the daytime receptionist was 5-star! Friendly and helpful. The switches on both table lamps were broken. The 1 ceiling light was too dim to light the room. One of the bottles of personal care lotion/soap fell off the wall. Breakfast was ok. I wouldn't stay there again.

It was not a pleasant stay

the hotel overall is not clean. We booked a room with a kitchenette, but they did not provide any type of dinnerware, utensils, etc. so we did not get what was the purpose of the kitchenet itself? Also, the breakfast room was very crowded, tables were very dirty, no one cleaned them.

Had to think about the rating. On the plus side it is on a major street with many bus connections, the rooms are good size with separate living room, kitchen area, bed and bath rooms. Kitchen has full size frig, coffee maker and microwave. No oven or any dishes. There are washers and dryers on sight if you need to do laundry. Property is quite dated but rooms were clean with daily housekeeping. Breakfast buffet included and was ok.Tea and coffee available through the day.

1. The street was not leveled making it hard to roll luggage. 2. Dodging poop while rolling luggages was not fun. 3. Front door to hotel required room key to enter and no automatic door to open while pulling in luggage. 4. Check-in was ok. 5. The carpet on the room floor made it difficult to roll luggage. 6. Awkward door divider in the hallway makes walking difficult. 7. The room looks old and run down with gum stuck underneath the counters and kitchen cabinets peeling. 8. Some light bulbs were not working. 9. Toilet would not flush. 10. AC unit is awkwardly placed in a separate room. 11. The room was very dusty. 12. The area did not feel safe. We only stayed one night, but this was way below standard expectation.

No place to sit in room except stained office chair. Carpet stained. Woken up at 7:20 am by garbage trucks despite asking for quiet room. Room was a very long way from elevator. After dark, drug deals going on outside hotel on side streets.

We’ve been staying at the Hotel St-Laurent for years. With this one attached and with the rooms looking the same in the pictures, we thought “why not” when it was advertised at a significantly lower price - a huge mistake that we will never make again! It was gross (stained bed covering, puddles on the bathroom floor, a whole false nail out in the open between the beds), the furniture was awful, most uncomfortable and noisiest bed I’ve ever slept on, there was a lot of noise from the street and hallways which doesn’t bother us as it’s downtown but may bother some. And the air conditioner is in the “living room” which should be the bedroom but they stuck 2 beds right up against the bar in the kitchenette? We were also told we were upgraded to a bigger room when we checked in… I’d hate to see the original if this was an upgrade! Our standards for a place downtown like this for a one night stay to quickly get ready, sleep, and leave are already pretty low, but this one didn’t even come close. Overall a terrible experience and we will stick to the Hotel St-Laurent forever.

Perfect location for our three day get away. This hotel was walking distance, 20 minutes, from the train station. We did not need a car and we're able to walk too Old Montreal as well as St Laurent Boulevard for mural festival. We also walked up Mount Royal. The hotel was a little run down but clean. It has a full kitchen but no dishes, utensils, pots and pans etc. The stove was removed and only a microwave. It included a nice breakfast with eggs and sausage, fruit, cereals waffles yogurt, and breads. But it had only paper plates and plastic cutlery.

Decent hotel for the price. The staff was very kind and friendly. The hotel was a little older. The room was decent! Definitely outdated, there was a couple stains on the carpets, but the towels and bedsheets were crystal clean and white (which is what I always look for first). Parking wasn’t included which was an extra cost of $35 plus taxes per day. 15 min drive from Old Montreal, but 15 min walk from St. Catherine Street (which was the main strip). Wasn’t a bad stay, would consider again if I ever came back to Montreal.
