No parking available due to construction work. There was no information on this prior to booking. Had a hand-written sign to park in the neighboring Hilton hotel, then later told us that the Hilton didn’t agree to us parking in their lot, so asked to park in a Burger King parking lot.

Nice big suite for our week stay, made it feel like home. Convenient microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker in the room. Also, walking distance to several restaurants and a convenient store. Also, plan a visit to the Blue Diamond gift shop right across the street.

Great Grandpa time with the family!

I thoroughly enjoy staying at the La Quinta in Salida, which I frequently do when I visit family and friends in the area. The staff are friendly and accommodating; the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is central for my needs.

Hallway carpet was very, very dirty and stained. Room chair stained. Dusty lamps, room was not up to date. Could not even see out of the window due to crackling and discoloration. Did not feel clean. Had a funny unpleasant smell. Everything needed updating. Smoke alarm low battery warning sounds screeched in the night. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was adequate but ended rather early (9:00). Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. It was weird and uncomfortable that the room doors to the hallwYs had gaps in them that you could almost see under into the rooms. We would not stay here again.
