The best feature of this hotel is its proximity to Graceland, diagonally across Elvis Presley Boulevard and just a 5-10 min walk to Elvis' home, Entertainment Center and the Lisa Marie airplane. The location was also especially convenient for visiting the Meditation Garden at Graceland early in the morning.
Elvis Presley Boulevard was surprisingly walkable and seemed fairly safe until early evening, and there are a few good shops, stores and restaurants nearby.
Marlowe's restaurant has a shuttle that picks you up and drops you back at the Days Inn for free.
The hotel and grounds were clean and well-maintained. The staff, especially the receptionist Mr. Bhumik and housekeeper Ms. Linnie, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, and the dining area is very comfortable and homely, with lots of Elvis photos and memorabilia to keep EP fans happy.
The only minor negative point for me was a slightly musty/stuffy smell in the room, perhaps due to the lack of a window that could be opened for fresh air. I tried keeping the door open for a short while but it brought in a few insects.
Overall I had a very pleasant, safe and comfortable 3-day stay at Days Inn Memphis at Graceland. Thank you very much, especially to the kind and hospitable staff at the hotel.
