I was very much dis appointed as I arrived at the Hotel around 11:30 pm on 12/25/25 after driving 12 hours from Dallas to McAllen via Houston. The front desk clerk switched me to 3 different rooms (Room #s 120, 124, 131) and all of these rooms were nasty. Doesn’t looks like I booked the room in Holiday Inn Hotel. As we entered in these 3 rooms, 1) All of them smelled very bad. 2) All of these room’s Carpets were torn down and seems like carpets were never shampooed or cleaned. 3) Even all of these room’s comforters were also torn down. 4) One of the room was leaking and we can even see the water stains or molds on the ceiling of the room # 131 Finally after wasting my tiring 1 hour at mid night, (inspecting or going through all these rooms till 12:30 am) clerk gave me Room # 213 on second floor. This room 213 was so so or okayed than all previous rooms. I was very much upset on the clerk as he was keep us running around from room to room for 1 hour at mid night. Anyway I will complain all these problems to the Holiday Inn Corporate Head Quarter and also to the City Inspector of McAllen with all the pictures of these issues for their immediate inspection or action on this property

The phone rang every couple hours all night and I slept terribly. When I notified the desk before trying to sleep they tried to disconnect it but couldn’t. They said leave it off the hook but it still rang. I think they were going to discount the room at checkout but couldn’t since I booked with Expedia. The staff were nice and responded quickly at least.

The room was very clean bed comfortable the staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that we were put in room right above dining room so in the morning we got woke up by noise from kitchen and the highway traffic was very loud also kept waking us up.
