This is a great find for our puppy! The cabin is open, clean, and comfortable. We had fun walking around the lake and playing fetch in the yard. The checkin/out instructions were clear. We look forward to staying again!

Very cute little cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay, and was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and quickly responsive. The outdoor area was very appealing, but due to lots of rain, we were unable to enjoy the nice porch and firepit area. I highly recommend. We definitely would love to come back.

Great cabin in southern Illinois!

This was the perfect place for me to stay while visiting southern Illinois. The cabin is located in a private area, but it's just a quick drive to Marion, which allows for numerous food, drinks, and fun. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the cabin - it also provided all of the things needed to cook meals, etc. I'd recommend this property to anyone!

Shawnee NF Central location

Very nice, clean cabin. Fantastic outdoor space, very nice deck overlooking pond. Centrally located between east and west ends of Shawnee National Forest. Very convenient for our extended weekend trip. We will certainly book again when we return to the area!

We enjoyed our stay although it was cut short.

We generally enjoyed our stay. We had to purchase a bedspread for the Murphy bed and there was a little cleaning issue but it's a beautiful property and location.

The purple door is now where we’ll be staying from now on when visiting southern Illinois. What a cute quiet place and such friendly and helpful owners. Has everything you need and then some.

Great little spot!

This cabin was just perfect for us two senior citzens and our dog. The location worked out well for us to explore Shawnee National Park. We are photographers there to find the perfect fall color. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck looking over the pond watching the deer and chickens. The cabin was clean and spacious, had everything we needed. The only thing we would change would be to have a walk in shower rather than the deep bathtub. Since the weather was so beautiful we had a fire in the firepit one evening and enjoyed visiting with the owners when they stopped by. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.

Micro cabin stay

It was amazing. So glad i booked it. We wanted a place close to the marina for fishing. Couldn't have gotten much closer! It was well decorated an comfy, had all we needed! Icing on top was the purple door! Totally recommend! Allison an her property manager were great!

Great tiny cabin for a lake weekend

Great tiny cabin within a few minute drive to the lake. Well appointed, modern, and clean. We enjoyed the covered back porch on the pond - perfect for evening cookouts. Check in and out was a breeze. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again

Owners left town and chaos ensued

The owners left town for the weekend & we soon discovered why. On Saturday night, there was a loud concert until 1am. Shortly after Woodstock started, we lost power & had no idea what happened. We texted the owner, someone else had the business phone and couldn't help us except to say the owner left. Wow. Eventually the power came back on but the concert went on & on. We thought it might end at 11pm & we could get some sleep but it went until 1am on Sunday. If we had been honestly told about Woodstock taking place, we might have gone to the show or booked someplace else. This felt like a clear deception. After the power came back on, we still had no wifi & the person with the phone could not give us instructions as to what to do. Sunday morning, still no wifi so we cut our stay short and left to get connected to work. The property itself was small & you were basically restricted to your cabin so having no electric & then no wifi was an obvious problem. There were no instructions in the cabin of any kind & the website didn't explain if there was a way we could have gone over to the owner's house to reset the wifi feed somehow by ourselves. The owner never phoned us & apologized, so this was completely mishandled unfortunately. Lastly, there were cleaning issues, wasps everywhere & bullfrogs made noise all day/night. Forget about sleeping. We liked Ferne Clyffe State Park and recommend that and the Vault restaurant in Marion.
