Win. Great price. Clean spacious room. Pet friendly. Small hotel and right next door to airport. Staff nice. Rooms clean. Still has carpet but smells fresh. Small tv. Cannot beat it for the price. No frills but hey for the price it is worth it.
The room was very clean and the cable was very good .but my husband and I stay was terrible the owner was very rude, when u needed something she acted like it was an inconvenience for her.my husband would walk out the lobby doors to smoke and she got mad because he walked out the door and set the alarm off she showed him on her phone well shut the darn alarm off during the day. My husband went to the desk to ask for some more cups and she got mad and told him that it was 1:00am in the morning and that he wasn't to be there. It was like she had something to hide.she also was in hurry for us to get out of our room so she could clean the whole stay was joke the money we paid was not worth our stay.I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel if u want tobe treated like a prisoner.all in all the stay was terrible
The hotel itself is located off main drag in Marion. Honestly it wasn't bad and I would stay again to save money. Pros: AC kept room cool Shower worked good Access was easy Felt safe Price at $50 Cons: Bed was stiff Woman who checked me in was rude Outdated
Very nice and clean. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Really affordable. Me and my wife loved this place and won’t stay anywhere else. Also liked the vending machines had a nice variety of stuff and was updated
At $45, I didn't set the bar very high, but these folks delivered a nice place to stay for a small price. Friendly folks at the desk. Lots of AC outlets, plenty of pillows. When I had TV remote control trouble, they came right in to figure it out. Recommended a good pizza place. Light, safe parking lot. I saw the other reviews, and those things would certainly rankle me, but that wasn't my experience. Actually, the suites with open portals into the large bath are kind of classy. Good job.
Worst management EVER Been traveling across country for 3months now staying at motel 6 every night When i got there the lady counter looked at me from top to buttom and said sorry credit card only (when she had no idea what i had to pay with) then said she would had to change me a 200$ deposite because i look like someone who would break or steal something ( i am 26 years old woman from france) she totally just judge me and assumed things i told her i rather drive another hour than to give her a penny and as a respond she screamed at me telling me to get out! 👏👏 thanks alot motel 6 of marion i just drove 11h and now im still on the road because of some racist woman!!!! Do not give them any penny other motel deserve it better around there!
We stayed here one night while driving across the country. Heads up: the location is not ideal, it's a few miles off the highway - it's sort of in between Marion and the next town. Also note, there are no exterior doors to the rooms - you have to gain access through a door in the parking lot or from the lobby - which made loading/ unloading not fun. That aside though, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. You could tell they were working in the hotel, but it still had cosmetic issues. (holes in some walls, worn carpet, etc) Felt like the room was a great value. Would considering staying again if we were in the area. Had plenty of parking for our moving van - huge bonus.
As the title states, I booked a room back in February 2017 through Hotels.com for the total eclipse. We got on the road from Chicago at 3pm and called them to let them know we'd be getting in at around 8 or 9. They confirmed our reservation and said everything was good to go. We call them at 8pm to say we hit traffic and it'd be more like 10/10:30. That's when they tell us that they don't have our reservation and thy never had our reservation. We ended up having to sleep in our car with our dog after driving 7 hours. So, whoever offered them cash to take our reservation, congratulations.
We came to Marion, Illinois, for the total eclipse. Like most of the motels and hotels in the area, they increased their rates outrageously. From $50 a night to $200 a night. They only offer coffee in the morning. But the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They do not offer any amenities like shampoo. But there is a very small refrigerator and microwave, The TV channels are adequate but not great. They have an outdoor pool.
Easy access from the interstate and right next to the airport. Fixtures could use some updating but the room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
