The facility is new, clean, and well maintained. The bed sheets are microfiber and not cotton! They are terrible! The breakfast was okay. The fresh fruit was not fresh. Oranges and apples looked old. Fruit salad looked old. The kitchen staff did not keep the dining room tables clean.

The staff were great. We asked about local restaurants and got several ideas. We chose one and had a great meal. The rooms were very clean. And not noisy even though we were close to the highway. We enjoyed the stay!

No Microwave!!!

I was disappointed there was no microwave in the room. I know now to check all the little details before booking. For $115 a night after the discount, surely they can afford microwaves.

My husband, our dog Max, and I travel I-95 from Virginia to Florida 3-5 times a year. Along the route we often find dog-friendly hotels and dog-designated rooms are often a little “doggie”—that is smelly, not as clean as we’d like, and often in need of updating 😵‍💫 This is the case across reputable mid-range brands, in part, because of high volume along I-95. Over the past couple of years we’ve found the TRU hotel brand and have been impressed. The nice new TRU just off I-95 in Lumberton is an excellent example! It is light, spacious, and well maintained. It is right off the highway and it a convenient stop because of other nearby grocery and pharmacy shopping, dining, gas, etc.

Complete Garbage,brand new and should be shut down

Place needs to be shut down. Brand new bldg, as soon as you walk in the counters are bubbling up and need replacing. Checked into our room, TV didn’t work, refrigerator to store my shots in did not work, none of the outlets worked. I took a shower only to come out to the bedroom floor flooded from the shower. Went to the front desk, advised them of all the issues and that I will not be staying there. They promised a refund within 5 days. I had to go down the street and stay at Spring Hill suites (100% recommend). Now that I’m home from vacation after 2 weeks I am dealing with Tru by Hilton because they never processed my refund. If you call the call center they are unable to get an answer via phone to that location so now they have to open a case and say I’ll hear “something” within 72 hours. Will never stay at a Tru By Hilton again

My 76 year old husband had to make five trips to our room because the hotel only had 4 or. 5 carts on a Friday night and people kept them in their room for the next morning check-out. How do we know? At 8:00AM on Saturday, there was only one cart there. Someone must have checked out. Thank goodness that he didn’t have to make the same number of trips. He has a new hip and needs a new knee. I use a mobility scooter, so I am not much help. The hotel either more carts or a GPS on those carts to see where they are. Disabled and elderly people need help and businesses need to consider that. Hold one cart for such patrons or get more carts. I was truly concerned for his health and feared that he would pass out in the heat. And no microwave? We were exhausted and just wanted to heat some leftovers in the room. Do we need to consider the next level hotel for such amenities? We were just traveling from our place in Florida to our home in Pennsylvania and just needed to spend the night. The breakfast was good.
