We stayed at the Comfort Suites while driving home from Florida to New Jersey. Lumberton is exactly half way home and has a bunch of hotels and restaurants to choose from. The Comfort Suites was very reasonably priced ($85 including taxes). The hotel is nice, clean and friendly. The check in agent had a major computer problem and was very stressed, but that didn’t stop her from being super helpful and friendly. The rooms are small for a suite – we are a family of 4 and had to cram into two “double” beds. There is a fold out couch but it’s not comfortable as a bed. There is a nice TV and horrendously slow wifi…if my kids were writing this review, it would be a 2 star review for sure. It was the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars. Breakfast is hot – eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. There is plenty to choose from, and take some for your ride wherever you may be going. Overall, a great value for the money and we would stay again.
My family and I stayed here on our way back from Disney World. I simply called while we were on the road and made the reservation with a very nice and professional man. The process was very easy and the price was quite reasonable. Our room was very clean and spacious. The towels were plentiful, clean, and soft. They even have extra blankets if you need one or two. I noticed that this site was pet friendly as a few of the other guests had their dogs with them. The breakfast was excellent as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Based upon tripadvisor reviews, we stayed at this Comfort Suites in Lumberton, while traveling north from Florida. The room was larger than those we've stayed in at some other Comfort Suites hotels. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is right off the northbound I-95 exit, although you do have to follow the road around a bit to get to the hotel. It was raining heavily the night we stayed there, so it's fortunate that there is an Outback restaurant steps away from the hotel's parking lot - no need to get back in the car to look for a decent place to eat. We had a restful night's sleep; and, after eating a typical Comfort Suites breakfast buffet the next morning, . we were back on I-95 north again. We would stay at this hotel again on a future visit to Lumberton.
After an 8 hr. trip, it was great to find this Comfort Suites. Located 2 blocks off of exit 22 in Lumberton, N.C. it is easy to get to and the staff makes you feel right at home. Spacious rooms with elevator access and a very good breakfast made for an easy excellent rating. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were great. Check in was fast and easy. I recommend making a reservation because this motel fills up quickly due to its high quality and reasonable price. A good bang for your buck!
Check in was quick. Suite room was large. We like having the couch but wished there was a coffee or end table. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast was typical. I would definitely stay here again.
We were traveling home to FL from NC and the weather was awful so we stopped in Lumberton rather than try to do more miles. We usually stay in Hamptons (we know what we are getting there) but they had no room with two beds, so off we went to Comfort Suites which was in same area. What a great place to stay. Staff welcoming and helpful, great room with lovely comfy beds and comfy pillows- so good that I actually purchased one as we were leaving. I am so fed up with hotel pillows like rocks but they had two firm and two soft and the soft are amazing. I actually slept. The room was big and had microwave and fridge plus coffee maker- just like the Hamptons. But the cost was lower- only 80 bucks for the night. Got online very easily and the free breakfast the following morning was lovely- very like the Hampton Inns. Fresh oranges, apples and bananas rather than the usual fruit salad which can be full of unripe melon. Great sweet stuff which I love (choc muffins!!) and my husband loved the waffle maker which made four small individual waffles instead of the usual large one. He tanked up on all kinds of food ready for our long drive home. Not bad coffee and there is the usual juice or tea. I particularly want to give a shout out to the lady on the check out desk as we were getting ready to leave- Della Reese (yes that is her name for all you old enough to remember Della Reese). She helped me buy a pillow (only 15 bucks- try getting one for less in a store!) and she was so very sweet, friendly and chatty. Believe it or not, she has worked there for 17 years and the place pays her 9 bucks an hour- unbelievable.... the managers and owners need to realize that a loyal employee deserves more. There is an outdoor pool, a gym and a pleasant place to sit to have breakfast. Just cannot criticize this place at all. We are planning on using this hotel whenever we travel back and forth to NC and/or NY
The Comfort Suites has a new appearance. Everything is clean and tidy. Our room was nicely appointed with a full couch. The decor was pleasing. Just off 95, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. The hot breakfast had a variety of offerings. This was an overnight visit on return from Florida. We enjoyed a good nights rest.
We chose to stay here based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We got a fair price through TripAdvisor/Priceline; actually saved about $10 by booking online thru Priceline. The exit off and ramp onto Rte 95 was different, which is hard to explain...but we thought we were going the wrong way up the ramp both times. Plus the hotel is about 2 to 3 blocks off the main drag. Actually we were quite surprised that despite the hotel being a fair distance from the main drag, there was quite a bit of unexpected traffic noise on the Monday night that we stayed. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the suite was quite spacious although a little dated...especially the bathroom. The suite had all the perks...refrigerator, coffee pot, hair blower, ironing board and iron, etc. HBO on the TV was a nice perk also. The breakfast bar had the normal fare -- scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, rolls, cereal, juices, coffee, etc....the bar was maintained clean and amply supplied...the food was tasty and filling. Bottom line, a good place to overnight...I know we will not hesitate to book a room here in the future.
Great hotel, great staff! I felt welcomed and respected during my stay at the hotel recently. I stayed overnight for a medical residency interview and was very happy with my experience. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and ample seating. Everything was in pristine condition, with no smell of cigarette smoke (as promised by the hotel's no-smoking policy). A big plus was that the room was equipped with a microwave oven and a refrigerator. I only have some minor complaints. WiFi was very weak in my room on the 4th floor. Also, hot breakfast options were quite limited.
I had to make last minute reservations in this area for a funeral. The staff was very friendly, the room was large, clean and beds were great. Was very pleased with my stay and will book again when in this area. Having the food and shopping nearby really helped also.
