Overall the hotel was decent. The first room we were in the blackout blinds didn’t work (did not roll down) and when we called to front desk to notify them it took a long time to get someone to come up (40min) and we had to walk down to front desk as they forgot about it. We ended up switching rooms - and the new room that we had the floor was dirty didn’t look like it had been vacuumed or swept in a while :( Other than than it was a decent hotel, with breakfast close to the event that we were attending and the airport.

I wish that it was posted in plain view when booking and walking into the hotel or any hotel that it is animal friendly. Being allergic to certain animals makes for an uncomfortable stay as your are always itching. Imagine if someone where anaphylactic? This should be in bold letters or a main point when booking. Also, when you do accept animals it would be awesome if you would change the bedding. I had hair in my bed.

Tru is a bare bones hotel for an overnight stay. Old coffee in the lobby ( no amenities in the room), and a vibe down there catering to youth who lounge around like it’s a club. Lobby music a bit on the loud side and distinctly urban. Room was minimal and clean. Bedside rack needed maintenance. Multi-guest bathroom products. Like the hard flooring in the room as opposed to filthy carpet. Traveled with a dog, and our pet-friendly room did not smell like a kennel. Breakfast was standard “free” fare, and the staff were friendly and competent.

TRU was great.

The staff all went above and beyond for us. Ricky found us a room very early, since we were dropped off the Cruise ship at 8:30 AM. Shuttle drives were friendly, seemed to 'like their job". One problem. The SQUEEZE SOAP,ETC. They are cute,etc, but not for us elderly with weak hands. It took both of us squeezing top and bottom together to get a little bit. Maybe have some bar soap to offer if the guest looks like they may be interested.
