Historic 1909 Gem on the Bourbon Trail w/4 King Beds

Step inside The Copper & Oak and discover a perfectly restored 1909 home designed for gathering, relaxing, and exploring the best of Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail. Right in the heart of historic downtown Shelbyville — the ideal midpoint between Louisville, Frankfort, and Bardstown — this upscale 4-bedroom, 4-bath getaway blends classic charm with modern comfort.

The home is split into two beautifully appointed units, each offering its own living room, fully stocked kitchen, smart TV, and cozy dining/workspace. A hidden speakeasy-style Murphy door connects the spaces, giving groups the flexibility to spread out while still enjoying time together.

Throughout the home, you’ll find warm décor, plush furnishings, and local artwork, including pieces by the 148th Kentucky Derby artist. Every king bedroom is designed for rest and retreat, and all four bathrooms feature stylish tiled showers — with two ensuite for added privacy.

Start your day with coffee from either Keurig setup, cook meals in the well-equipped kitchens, or gather for games of shuffleboard, cards, and board games after touring distilleries or horse farms. In the evenings, fire up the grill on the covered patio and enjoy a laid-back Kentucky night.

With private off-street parking and a walkable location near coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques, The Copper & Oak is a welcoming, comfortable base for your Bluegrass adventure. Make yourself at home and enjoy an unforgettable stay along the Bourbon Trail.

Great bourbon trail weekend stay with friends

We all loved the property and had more than enough space for 6 of us to relax after visiting distilleries. Having 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms was perfect when we needed some space or quiet, and there is a good sized tvs in each living room. The bathrooms and kitchens are nicely updated. We walked to dinner in downtown shelbyville - about 4-5 blocks. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful weekend in Kentucky

We stayed at this beautiful property for four days. The place was great, very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms were very nice. It was great to have a bedroom and bathroom for each of the four couples in our group. We pretty much hung in the kitchen when we were at the property, even though the living rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Friends Bourbon Trail Trip

This house worked out perfectly for four couples visiting the area for bourbon tours. The four beds and baths gave us privacy while still spending lots of time together in the great common areas. The host communicated everything that was needed and quickly responded to questions. Would recommend and would stay here again if I’m in the area.
