The plantings all around the property were very nicely planted and cared for. Being Gardners' that is what we noticed first. Lots of maintenance and it is being done. The room we had was a little on the worn side; but nothing really bad. We will be back when in the area again.

This is my absolute favorite spot to stay in So Cal. Central spot to everything... Disney and beaches are 20 mins, Hollywood, south to San Diego are about an hour away. in either direction. Charming, beautiful shady gardens, give such a cozy ambience. Rooms are nothing fancy but they are nice with comfy beds and sink outside the toilet/bath. Breakfast has plenty of healthy options, and saves so much money to have a free start to the day. Pizza at Terra Mia, next exit up was deeelish! Can walk to In and Out Burger. Management is wonderful. Had a nice family dinner out by the pool... lots of tables and seating. I will stay here every time I visit. Book early, it's a hidden gem and fills up.

The property landscape is beautiful. The first room we were booked into was terrible. Not updated yet. We asked to be booked into a newer room in the B-building and paid a small up charge. It was better. The sink and dressing area is open to the room and that was not as good for us as my wife needs the light on to prepare for bed and I was kept awake! The bed was too firm for us but overall for a one night stop over was okay. Oh, forget the free breakfast, unless you like powder eggs and paper thin bacon.

Good choice for the rate.

Really enjoy the lodge property itself. Continental breakfast was just ok…powdered eggs, not many food choices. Great coffee. Bedding needs an upgrade, thin and worn. And the TV’s are very small…

Needs improvement

It was my first time visiting Laguna Hills. My room was a little dirty. I didn't want to use the bath since it was really rusty. The furniture definitely needs to get updated. Also, the fridge was smelly a it was and dirty. Overall I give my experience a solid two and a half. I do have to give credit to the front desk gentleman, they were a very helpful and quick to answer any questions I had.

An amazing gem of a hotel in S California. Morgan was fabulous, perky, funny checking us in. I even saw er run down the parking lot to assist a lady who had fallen. Jim was great as well. Our room was clean and spacious. I loved the big balcony! Breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed 3 nights. I usually have trouble sleeping when away from home but slept great all 3 nights. Found the room clean and quiet. Staff was nice and helpful. Free breakfast included eggs, bacon, toast/bagels, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. Fitness center was limited but the one piece of weightlifting equipment they had was versatile. Area was walkable and safe and parking was never a problem. Only two minor issues I had were twice my room card wouldn't work. All I had to do was go to the front desk and they fixed it so it wasn't a problem but if it had happened after hours it could have been a big problem and when I jumped in the pool I had a near death experience with how cold it was. I was between 4 stars and 5 stars but I am leaving 5 stars based on the overall value and the continental breakfast being a legitimate meal here which isn't the case at most hotels I've stayed.

The first room that we checked into had carpet. It had a really bad odor. Kind of musty/moldy. We were able to move to a different room that did not have carpet. I would recommend requesting a room without carpet. It’s an old property.
