Our house is in the small rural town of Kuttabul on the Bruce Highway where the night sky is perfect for stargazing! The ground level of the house is a private self-contained open-plan living area/studio. The inflated double bed mattress is placed in the corner of the studio. The room has sliding door windows with views of the sugar cane plantation next to the house. It has timber floors, open-plan living with a renovated kitchenette, with oven, stove-top and a double sink. It has a renovated bathroom with a combined laundry. It is a 2-minute walk from the local store/petrol station, a 10-minute drive from Marian shopping centre, half hour drive from Mackay, Cape Hillsborough and Seaforth beach. The house is on a 1000 sq metre house block. It has a large yard frontage and even larger backyard. However, you will hear passing traffic on the two-lane Bruce Highway, including trucks passing by. The house is in need of some paint and is not in pristine condition inside or out, but it's a roof over your head with essential facilities. you may see a few bugs and geckoes occasionally.
