We love staying here, we had a big group and reserved 3 of the cabins. Beautiful spot to break bread together and tell stories, enjoying company with the sounds of the river going by. Always wonderful, and great communication with the hosts!

Totally Loved this place!!!

The Watauga River Cabins is a truly unique gem! The photos don't do it justice... it was larger than expected and the views of the river with fly fishing float boats causing by was spectacular. We were in town to visit my brother and his family for the Nascar race at Bristol, which was a short drive and came back to grill some steaks on the grill and have a campfire on the large back patio area while soaking in the scenery. I also fly fish and we were able o book a float trip with High Country Angler in Gray, TN and caught and released a few dozen trout one morning. We will def be coming back to WRC the next time we plan a visit! Max

Wonderful family holiday stay

The Hemlock cabin was so warm and welcoming, with a Christmas tree and lovely holiday decor. It was very comfortable, with everything we needed. My husband and I were there with our daughter and our dogs, and it was perfect for all of us. The cabin was very clean, with plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor space is amazing, with a large field to walk the dogs and a fire pit right on the river. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

I’m still in awe at what an amazing place and this honestly was one of those places that was very hard to leave. Just so beautiful and the owners are some of the kindest and most welcoming people you will ever meet (if you are lucky enough to have them in town during your visit)! We had my Dad’s 80th birthday party there with family and it was so perfect with the outdoor seating arrangements and all the covered areas (in case it had rained). The lower units are also very easy to navigate for those with limited mobility. The owners have put so much effort into the cabin experience both inside and outside. Our guests which ranged from 8-90 years old all loved it and there was something special for each of them, horse shoes, corn hole, old time games, fire pit, rocking chairs overlooking river, antique vehicles, beautiful field out front. Kitchen has everything you could need and there’s lots of extra towels & blankets. Also, both a grill and black stone flat grill in the picnic shelter. Our only caution is to watch dogs and kids closely by river when the dam is being released. The TVA schedule can be found for these releases and there are warning signs down at the river.

Rustic cabin

This cabin is cute & we enjoyed our stay. Could use a few updates. The linens (towels) need to be replaced. The lighting is dim but these things are fixable. The cabin overall is cute and the location is very nice. The other guests in the cabins nearby Used the fire pit each night and we were clearly not welcome. Maybe a sign for courtesy would be good. Great place for location and price. I would stay again!
