Girls Trip

We enjoyed our stay at Willkommen Haus. The house was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Location was close to downtown Helen, just a short drive. We would give this a 10 as far as a rental. The only note I would add is we have stayed at other VRBO rentals that had more items available in the kitchen. This appeared to be a rental only home, no one lives or stays here on a regular basis so more items might be needed for cooking if you have a longer stay. But for our 3 nights we had all we need. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful mountain house over Thanksgiving break. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and more than enough linens were provided. There were no issues during our stay. Based on some earlier reviews, we were worried that the kitchen wasn't going to be well supplied with cooking utensils and small appliances but we were nicely surprised to find a very well stocked kitchen. All of the essentials hand tools were provided, there was also an electric kettle, crock pot and plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets and baking trays. The one small disappointment, is that my son never got to see a bear but can't hold the management company responsible for that. We hope to come back next year, maybe we'll see one then.

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved it here. The house was beautiful. The highlight was seeing a mother bear and FIVE cubs walk by one morning out back. We also saw two deer. The area was so quiet and peaceful. I was nervous driving around the curves and up the hill to the house, but probably because I’m from the flat state of Florida! It was a short distance to everywhere we wanted to go in the area. CeNita Winery was one of our favorite stops. The house was very clean and the perfect size for me and five of my friends. We enjoyed use of the kitchen and coffee maker. Be sure to bring anything you may need though- including ziploc bags or foil. My only suggestion would be adding an additional door between the garage area and the staircase up to the living room. We saw some centipedes and a frog we would have rather avoided.

Hot Air Balloon Race Getaway

Upon entering the resort, I was disappointed with the overgrowth of weeds and grass at the clubhouse and at the house itself. To me the grass needing cutting is the first thing I spot. If this is considered a luxury resort, it was disappointing. The street sign could not be seen due to tree limbs blocking part of it. My husband leaned against the front porch railing and the right side pushed out. It is not attached to the porch column. I called Sherry about it and was told someone would be out to fix it. Never was fixed while we were there. Could not use the patio furniture because they were too dirty. The furniture should have been rinsed off before arrival. There is a water hose five feet from the furniture. Inside the house was nice. A few under cabinet lights did not work. In the shower there is no shelf to put your body wash and shampoo. I had to place them on the floor of the shower. FYI, if you sleep in the master bedroom, you can hear everything that goes on in the bedroom and bathroom below in the garage. The sound comes up through the air vents. Overall the house is nice.
