Great hotel minus the following issues: I was asked to pay for my stay on the night I arrived, despite having prepaid. The reception was very close to charging me twice until I showed her my own records. Also, why did I have to pay a full room fee when it turned out the balcony my for my room was not useable? People come to the GC for the balcony views!

It was great to stay in the hotel I worked at in the 90s. Service was good and room was comfortable. It was disappointing that we could not go on the balcony due to glass being replaced, I feel there should have been a slight discount or at least free parking.

The staff were all very helpful But I was disappointed that I had paid for a room with a balcony so I could sit outside and enjoy the view. All balconies were locked off for maintenance! This should have been disclosed

The balcony was sealed off for maintenance, but no mention before checking in so we could not get any unobstructed views or fresh air. Could not sleep as the assigned room was over an outside entertainment area with a very noisy DJ and music for a wedding party. The hotel should have told guest beforehand or done some noise mitigation, but did not.

Balcony couldn't be used in any rooms which was disappointing (and wasn't communicated at time of booking). General areas were a bit unclean (including giant cockroach!) and the TV didn't work in my room. Had to switch rooms (but only becuase I asked, otherwise it was a "too bad") and the weather was bad when there so there was a little time spent indoors! Not as good as a normal QT experience. Staff didn't do anything to make up for the hassle.
