Dear [QT Hotel Management / Customer Service],
I am writing to formally express my complete dissatisfaction with my recent stay at QT and to request a full refund.
We travelled from Melbourne and specifically chose this hotel for its advertised balcony and view. Upon arrival, we were informed that the balcony doors could not be opened—this was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. I have a diagnosed lung condition and require access to fresh air. Had this restriction been disclosed in the advertisement, we would have opted for an Airbnb or another accommodation that allowed open windows or outdoor access.
Furthermore, when we returned to the hotel late on Sunday night, we found a notice on our door stating that guests would not be allowed to exit the building between 7:30am and 9:30am due to planned works. This was clearly not a last-minute development and should have been disclosed at the time of booking. We had planned to sleep in before our flight, but were forced to leave the hotel earlier than necessary due to this significant and avoidable inconvenience.
To make matters worse, we experienced food poisoning twice after consuming meals from your in-house restaurant, further ruining what was meant to be a relaxing stay.
Given the misleading nature of the booking advertisement, the unacceptable disruption to our plans, and the serious health issues we encountered, I am requesting a full refund.
