Upon arrival we walked to reception from the underground carpark, through the corridors someone had smeared their blood on the wall. Walking to our room the carpets looked like they had not been vacuumed for 6+ months, there were covered with clumps or wool, sand, stains, rubbish and debris. In our room there was a used dirty band aid on the floor next to the bed, the fridge was warm and not working probably. We mentioned the bandaid and fridge to reception, the young male staff member whose name started with an A was apologetic, but to be honest he didnāt seem surprised. Engineering was sent to our room to fix the fridge thankfully.
The pool had a very limited food and beverage menu yet still charges "Versace" prices. The only thing that saved our stay was the buffet breakfast, the food was delicious however we found it rude after paying 5* rates for the 1 nights accommodation, to be charged extra if we wanted an omelette, salmon or a second barista coffee.
The hotel is sooooo far from 5*luxury itās not even funny! The prices they charge for the extremally run-down amenities, poor upkeep and deteriorating presentation of the property is appalling! I travelled internationally for over 14 years with my job and honestly, I have never seen such horrendous conditions, even in 3* accommodation.
The general vibe and reception we received from staff is that no one cares! Itās like the staff and management know the hotel will either be sold again or knocked down so why bother or try.
