Rooms are small (even in Japanese standard). Nice thing about it was its onsen with natural hot spring water. I try to book Dormy Inn when I travel to Japan as it offer onsen experience without going to onsen towns. Also, one nice touch is its late night ramen .

Very nice hotel, small but has everything, hot spring, free noodles soup in the evening between 9:30-11. The hotel is pretty clean and staffs are very friendly. There is a subway station just 10 steps away from the hotel. 👍👍

Dormy Inn has always been our preferred choice whenever travelling to Japan, but this branch is somewhat tired and breakfast selection is not as great as other branches that we had stayed before (no sashimi dishes at all). There is another branch very nearby and seems to have better quality but price is much higher, although this branch that we were staying carried the word ‘premium’ in its name. While we do like the other dormy inn hotels or kyoritsu resorts in other cities, there are many other hotels starting to replicate the similar concept at much lower price now. May have to rethink our strategy next time when we come to Jap again.

What a gem of a location with natural Onsen!

In the heart of Canal City and centrally located from Hakata Station and Tenjin as both location can be had in about 15mins walk. Not to mention the subway line is directly infront the hotel and the bus stop is 3 mins walk away. The highlight of the hotel I must admit was the natural Onsen. It truly was instrumental in recovering from the jet lag as well as nursing the daily sore and ache feet. Also, their breakfast buffet (wasn’t included) was an absolute delight, as every bite and morsels were equivalent to a gourmet restaurant. We’ll definitely come back and stay here whenever we’re in Fukuoka!
