Danny was a wonderful host. He allowed us to check in early and was very communicative.The unit has some great features. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated, and the location is about a 10-minute walk to town.There were, however, a few things that would likely keep us from booking this unit again. The heating system was difficult to regulate. Even when set between 60–70 degrees, the house became very warm (it felt closer to 80 degrees). One of the bedroom window units did not seem to function properly, so we weren’t able to use the fan or AC to cool down the room. Since the windows also cannot be opened, this made for a very uncomfortable night sleep. The bathroom sink is quite narrow.While the home appeared clean overall, it would benefit from a deeper cleaning. We noticed visible dust on blinds and light fixtures. One member of our group has a dust allergy and was affected during our stay.Although the property is technically walkable to town, there is a stretch without a sidewalk where you must walk along a main road or cross without a designated crosswalk. This felt uncomfortable at times, especially after dark.Lastly, we did notice a strong smell of marijuana on several occasions during our stay. We understand this is likely outside of the host’s control, but it’s something future guests may want to be aware of.Overall, Danny was a great host, but the unit ultimately wasn’t the best fit for our needs.
