We really had a great relaxing time. It was quiet the views were incredible and the whole place is so serene. The beds were well appointed the kitchen was set up with everything that we needed including coffee and creamer. We will definitely be back thank you so much for the accommodations.

Excellent stay at the Star House Lodge!

The place is super clean, beautifully updated and decorated, and very private. The location and the view are both spectacular! Overlooking the cliff is a great place to be when you want some peace.

Not clean

This cottage is Very dusty and mold in the shower and window seals.My husband is allergic to dust mites and mold, and he broke out into a rash. We booked for 5 nights and left the next day . VRBO WAS OF NO HELP! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Amazing beach retreat

This property is amazing! Spent almost my whole trip on the deck watching the sea. Everything was clean and beautiful. I will absolutely stay again! (Just please get a better showerhead!)

Modern stay on the bluffs

Love this place and would stay here again. Everything is renovated beautifully. We loved sipping coffee while watching the hummingbirds outside the window. The Murphy bed was comfortable as well as the main bed. We were incredibly bummed that the fog never lifted during our stay. The water is RIGHT THERE, but we never saw it. Location is great, close to ft Bragg and Mendocino. Of note, we felt weird taking a shower or washing dishes because it is plastered everywhere about how bad the drought is. It is also weird that they want the dishes clean before departure, but they won’t let you run the dish washer as you leave. Makes the AM checkout complicated. There is also a fog horn in the area 24/7 that we could hear while trying to sleep.

Fabulous views comfortable home

We truly enjoyed our visit. Enjoyed walking our pups around this large property with ocean sound and views. We were lucky to get fantastic sunsets. Everything was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We will stay here again. Thanks a bunch

The nicest vacation rental we have ever rented!

This beautiful house is the nicest vacation rental we have ever rented. It has an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean, and you can hear the waves with the windows open. The layout of the house is ideal, The living room and kitchen are on the second floor to maximize the ocean views. The bedroom and bathroom are on the lower level along with a second comfortable seating area. The furnishings are very tasteful and the house is immaculately maintained. We would stay here again without hesitation!

On the coast

Beautiful property. Owners did a wonderful job preparing this property for rental. The views are amazing. Quiet, except for the rolling waves. We loved it. Should have stayed longer. We’ll be back.

A beautiful and peaceful escape

We loved everything about this place. It was so peaceful with such amazing views. It was close to Mendocino, the Harbor in Fort Bragg, etc. The kitchen had most of what you need to cook some simple meals but the food at restaurants and cafes in that area is so good that we didn't eat in that often. The only thing that confused us was that it said to park by the blue fish but they are weathered so they are white, LOL. Heads up there is not table to eat at but the bar counter facing the ocean has great stools for eating.

I absolutely loved this place. The view of the ocean from upstairs and downstairs was spectacular. The place was neat clean and cozy and had all the amenities that was needed.This place is definitely on my good list for future stays when I come to fort Bragg . If I could make one request to management it would be to fix the stairs going to the beach there was a chain blocking entrance…, I would have loved to go down to the water there ,so close, to the property. fixing that one thing ,would be hitting it out the park… thank so much for a beautiful get away….

We watched a seagull stay tight to her next on the big grassy rock. Dad would come by occasionally to bring her food and fend off predators. The young deer enjoyed us sharing the area with them.

Stunning location, and a pretty private property with a lot of open space. Perfect unit for two people. Easy check in, and out. Only negative was that the bed wasn't very comfortable. Also, when we used the heater there would be a musty smell that was unpleasant.

Star Lodge is Truly Amazing!

The guest house is nothing short of amazing. Property itself is beautifully situated; beyond private but close to anything you may need; breathtaking views; and fully equipped with pretty much anything you need. Access to the property process is unnecessary and cumbersome, requiring one to stop at an additional location just to gain the keyless entry access code to the property. On-site information binder of "How Things Work" requires customization - appears the property manager used a template document (e.g., reference to a non-existent hot tub) and inaccurate wifi info. Nonetheless, one of the absolute best VRBO experiences in 15+ years. Thank you!
