Ordinary but clean and friendly
Comfortable cottage, very clean, full kitchen, convenient location, covered parking, individual cottages=privacy. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
smooth checking in and out
This is a great place to stay if you’re traveling with a dog. If you don’t mind walking down the side of Highway one it is a very short walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in Fort Bragg. It is a five minute walk to the beach but it’s tricky getting there. To get to the beach you have to cross Highway one which is a challenge sometimes due to traffic. You then have to hike down a secluded area and the path to the beach is not easy to find. That being said once you find the beach it’s amazing! It’s beautiful and it’s wild and it’s deserted.
We liked that it was dog friendly! It was close to all the things we wanted to see & do around the area. It was clean except, for the bathroom need which needed new caulking & paint.
On the positive side, the highlight of the room was the kitchenette with full fridge, gas cooktop microwave, sink and cookware/dinnerware. It was very helpful when we had leftovers or wanted to fix something. Also, the room had night stands and a table for two which worked well for our meals. Also, the standalone cabin was nice to isolate you from your neighbors, so things were relatively quiet. On the negative side, the bath sink had no counter space and the shelf above the toilet was set to tall for short people to reach the top. If you wanted to watch tv, that was almost impossible since the remote was missing and was replaced upon request with a universal remote that did not have the ability to handle tv functions like aspect ratio or other settings. Also, the cable reception was poor and the screen was very undersized, perhaps 23". On the plus side, it did have a DVD player , although it and the tv really needed to have most functions handled manually without the remotes. What's important depends on your needs.
Cute, pleasant and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Nice Having kitchen.
Really enjoyed it. Very nice and clean. Comfortable. Great showers. Nice hosts. Convenient to restaurants and Glass Beach. Really enjoyed it.
Clean, convenient and comfortable and wonderfully dog friendly. We'll be back soon!
Had a peaceful stay with the wife and kids. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. Kids loved the hot tub and DVD movies available to watch from the office. Outdoor fire pit was lit every night. Staff very friendly and pricing was normal. Definitely would stay there again and recommend to others.
After a mixup in booking at another b&b in Mendocino we scrambled to find something that wasn't fully booked for the night. We got the last room because of a cancellation but were so happy it worked out this way. The staff were incredibly friendly, they had DVDs and cookies :), a nice fireplace, jacuzzi tub and hot tub in the facility. Private enough, own back porch. I am usually too lazy to write reviews but I was so happy with our stay here. If you're on the fence go with this place. Private, centrally located, affordable, worth it.
That's what the wife said when she exited the car. The cottages are a step back into time when this was the country hideaway at the end of the weekend drive. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are spectacular and show pride of Ron, the owner, with fire pit, grills, a large lot for pets, and fairy lights in the trees at night. The cottage we had was complete with dishes and kitchen appliances. It was roomy and comfortable, the bed was amazingly comfortable. The only knock would be the small short shower. We are already planning another stay at Shoreline Cottages.
