Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We tried Breaker's Point for the first time for our annual family get away with my husband and two young adult children. The location is equidistance between Ft. Bragg. and Mendocino, making it easy to access stores, hiking and restaurants. The home is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space for together time, as well as quiet time, as needed. The views are mesmerizing and we saw sea lions, deer and quail nearby. We hope to return soon!

An excellent stay. House is thoughtfully appointed with superb views, and a wonderful library. I'd go broke if I stayed long enough to read so many marvelous volumes. Everything from Paintings at the Louvre to John Julius Norwich...an educated and thoughtful collection. It was a wonderful week, thank you.

Beautiful home and property, the views were amazing! The house was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything and more you would need which is rare when I rent a house. We like to cook and I always need something that a house doesnt have but this one had it all! They had a nice Bourbon for us. Im very sensitive to fragrances and they didnt have any sprays or air fresherers and the linens were washed with fragrance free detergent which was amazing for me! The location was excellent, the little town of Mendicino was adorable and we went there almost everyday only 12 minutes away.. great food, full grocery. Another full grocery 6 minutes away in Ft. Bragg.. You could stay close to home and still see and do all kinds of things. Loved it, I will recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

There are views from every room . A large interesting library, a pool table room, a large wonderfully stocked kitchen. Awesome oceanfront experience at Breakers’ Point

Great ocean front experience. Secluded. Stunning sunset views. Kids loved the pool table and hot tub. Slight negative was having to pick up and return key at Mendocino office about 10 minutes away. Definite repeat place!!

The interior of the rental was both as described and wonderful, but for me, the main attraction was the backyard. My first night I watched the moon slowly set above the water. I woke up before dawn to see the starry sky and saw my first shooting star. After sunrise, I watched seabirds alone and in pairs "commuting" north across the peninsula as I sipped my coffee. A family of deer grazed intermittently throughout the day. Easy check in and out thanks to clear and proactive directions. An enjoyable getaway from my urban routine, and a good compromise between the romance of isolation and access to everything that the community has to offer.

Annual Fort Bragg trip with Mom and Sis

Wow! What an amazing place. We never left! We usually check out a couple of beach areas or ocean view spots but this place had all the views we needed. The house had so many nice touches: local photos, interesting books, games galore, well furnished kitchen...Definitely would have loved to stay longer!

Tranquil gorgeous retreat

This gorgeous getaway was completely worth the wait for our family trip that we booked a few months back. It was a perfect, comfortable, relaxing home on the most breathtaking peninsula surrounded by the ocean. The home was plentiful with books, games and everything a baker or cook would need. Phenomenal

Inspiring view on the edge of the continent with nothing but waves, water, whales and boats . And of course the epic sunset. Although I want it to be a secret so it's available to us at all times, everyone needs to experience such a beautiful property. Thank you for your hospitality!

Memorable Experience

We loved the property and how everything was organized. We have rented a number of preferred VRBO properties and this was definitely the best. We were all in awe of the property being surrounded by the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks was very comforting. My family loved watching the sunsets every night, especially when we had a fire down by the water. This was a memorable experience that will last for some time. We would loved to comeback at another time.

AMAZING home & locale

This home exceeded all my expectations. With two amazing points with outdoor benches to view the Pacific Ocean and it’s awesome coastline, steps down to the water, and awesome v unobstructed views rom every room in the home. I can’t imagine a better place to stay. The interior is lovely. High quality furniture, housewares and incidentals that made the house a perfect home for spending time with family and friends. This is a Place not to be missed. I’m so glad I discovered it’s new listing!

Spectacular view

The house was lovely and ocean views from every room. The decor was tasteful and comfortable. My main issues were; the outside lawn needs to be maintained as voles have made holes and mounds; bathroom toiletries are not provided; if you need extra towels, they are all locked up and you have to bring your own laundry soap to wash them and reuse: and a safety bar should be in the main shower. That being said, I would still recommend this home because of the ambience and stunning ocean views.

Lovely place (could do with some modernization)

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a lovely place and our family of 6 had a great time. The location is absolutely beautiful, the house is well done and comfortable, and the amenities are great. The quality of the appliances was great. The kitchen was very well stocked with an array of spices and quality utensils and dinnerware.Some thing to note: For the price, the house feels a little dated with tons of wood paneling and wood cabinets (although more a 1990s vibe than a 1960s one) and the master bathroom appears to be dated (the second full bathroom is nice and modern). Also an iron and ironing board in the laundry room would have been great (otherwise the washed and dryer are awesome).Something to change: We were not given clear check-in instructions (no email and no instructions in the app either) that we needed to pick up the property key from the rental office in the next town of Mendocino. We arrived late at night (around 9:30pm) after a long day of driving (10 hours) and had to make a few calls to figure out that we needed to drive another 30 minutes (15-mins one-way to Mendocino to pick up the keys). The key drop-off was also in Mendocino. It would be a lot easier to have a code box with the key on premises to make it easy to enter and exit the property.
