This is a lovely home and very dog friendly. We all enjoyed our visit here. My dog, especially loved exploring the huge fenced yard. And all the bushes around the perimeter of the yard meant the dog didnt see people or other dogs to bark at. And the beds were very comfortable, so we slept well.

Cutest Cottage

We were welcomed with a warm house, soothing music, and towel pets on the beds! The cottage is absolutely adorable with hand painted art work and accommodations for Roux(our fur baby). The absolute ONLY thing I could find missing was a cutting board to slice our veges. We 100% will be back.

Our stay at the Twin River Cottage was exactly what I needed after a stretch of busy, stressful workdays. The drive in alone sets the tone—rolling green farmland that immediately helps you slow down and breathe. The cottage has an older charm (which I loved) and is very well maintained. It was incredibly clean, and it’s clear the hosts take pride in creating a cozy, welcoming home-away-from-home.After work each day, I’d sit on the back porch and decompress. At night—true silence, just frogs in the distance. It was exactly the kind of quiet I didn’t realize I needed. The location is also a huge plus—central to multiple state parks and conservation areas. My pup and I love to hike, so we took full advantage. If visiting during wet spring weather, bring extra towels and stay on top of tick prevention. (Given my pup's curious nature, a box of beach towels is always on standby in our vehicle.)The kitchen felt just like home—my favorite space. I enjoyed dinners at the bar and making my morning French press with ease. The cleaning supplies under the sink were appreciated!Check-in/out was seamless, communication was great, and the large laundry room (full-size washer/dryer) is a bonus. The yard is securely fenced—my very curious pup couldn’t find a way out. Just note: after rain, the yard gets muddy (natural creek bed), so plan accordingly.Overall, a peaceful, comfortable, thoughtfully maintained retreat. I would absolutely return!
