The front desk didn’t say anything about parking. I get a courtesy tag about my car parking spot not being registered. Better communication is needed about that.

Business Travel - would recommend

I came to El Paso on a business trip and had meetings downtown and at UTEP. The hotel is pretty much right on the UTEP campus and conveniently located near downtown. I didn't use any of the facilities like the gym or pool but the lobby was nice and there is a restaurant and bar on the premise. There is a Starbucks about a two block walk that opens at 4am for early birds. The staff was really nice and accommodating. Overall, it was great for my business travel and I highly recommend.

Checking in early

Great hotel. I asked about checking in early and was told of course that would be possible in about 30-45 minutes later. So we drove around for an hour. I went to the desk and ask again about checking in early and was told the room wasn’t ready. I waited in the lobby for an hour When shift changed I ask the new person and she was so nice and said the other person was new and didn’t mention I was waiting and of course my room was ready. Now by this time it was 30 minutes before check in. She offered me free breakfast for my inconvenience but it was at 6:30 AM and I would be gone for an early flight.

When we arrived the service upfront was really unpleasant and seemed bothered by us being there. They helped but seemed forced to assist us. When we arrived to the room it was not clean. In example the sofa bed was dirty. I have photos and video of it.

Garden inn hotel review

Location was great since I needed closed to the hospital. Although it is and old building it was nice and clean. Staff not bad but not friendly. Breakfast the worst I’ve ever have and so expensive.

I was surprised to have to pay for parking. The room I was given was a handicapped room and I'm not sure why. It had no carpet and the floors were a little yucky. They had a peloton that worked! in the gym. Loved that. The reception help were very nice.

Honestly the main thing I did not like was having to pay $10/night plus tax for parking. Other than that this stay was wonderful and I would book again. It was quiet, the A/C worked well, and the bed was pretty comfortable.
