"This hotel was chosen for its location (on the beach, and in the heart of Clearwater beach) not for its external beauty. The exterior screams 1970 and I assumed the interior had to have been remodeled at some point, but probably not recently. Suprisingly, the remodel looked to be within the last 5 years. It was very nice inside. The price was reasonable for the area (239.00) for the night, but when you add taxes and non optional $40 valet parking....your looking at 300 bucks for the night during the week. The pool was clean and so was the room. The only complaint was the room A/C unit. It could not cool the room lower than 74 degrees despite being at the lowest possible setting. The humidity in the air was unbearable and I was glad I brought my portable fan. I had to shower in morning to get the night "grease" off. Staff was amazing. From check in to valet parking all staff were very professional which gave the hotel a resort classy feel."
