First room had wet carpet. Moved to a room behind the elevator and stayed the night but could hear it making a squeaking sound all early morning. Moved again but the room had a bad smell and a clogged toilet that they couldn’t fix and finally moved us to a room that had no issues. The staff was great and very helpful. I’m thinking this was just bad luck but it was a pain to move that many times.

I didn’t stay at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel. I traveled back home because the Governor of South Carolina declared a State of Emergency and told us to not travel on any roads because of the expected snow. I am from out of state and had to reschedule my flight back in order to leave the state of SC. I explained this to the Courtyard by Marriott and they said I needed to explain my case to Expedia. Expedia confirmed that the hotel was only able to refund me for one night (not 2 nights) even though I was physically unable to get there because of the snow. I am a repeat customer at the Marriott and all I am asking for is a refund for both nights. Expedia had said that Marriott should be able to approve this. I ended up catching a flight on Friday, so I could avoid the airline cancellations for Sat/Sunday. But yet Courtyard by Marriott on Assembly still had to charge me for that night, even though I could not physically get there. Please make this right. Thank you so much.

The hotel is clean but if you book the room with any kind of discount they will but you on the 3rd floor where they fill all the room and it gets noisy. I asked to be moved to the 2nd floor and told there would be a $90 charge for the same type room that I already had. Very strange.
