Decided to stay in room for dinner so changed to Comfies and called room service according to phone instructions and menu in info folder in room. Couldn’t get them to answer. Called front desk. “We don’t have room service.” Ended up ordering pizza delivered. Not what I had in mind. Room was more in line with a Days Inn quality. No fridge, no microwave. Had an older hotel smell to it. Room does not match price. Hotel looks like it was once grand. No more.

I called prior to our stay & requested a room with a view of the Capitol. The young lady said “I know what room to give you!” I was very pleased they could accommodate. Asked if there were other special things that would make my husbands stay more memorable & told her a couple ‘likes’. Never heard back but upon check-in we were instructed to check the fridge. We booked a junior suite. Plenty of room but items in room are dated, in disrepair & there’s a smell like sewer in the room. No air circulation. Thermostats are ancient. And a beautiful view of a large parking lot, Highway 50 & no possible view of the Capitol! I’m stumped! In the fridge is a plate with 2 pieces of cheesecake & on a side table 1 real glass & a small bottle of whiskey. TY for the whiskey! We bought our own mixer & used the toothpicks used to hold plastic wrap off the top of dessert as utensils as none we left to eat the cheesecake. Breakfast buffet was extremely poor. No coffee in 2 containers, no cream once coffee was refilled. Another guest said eggs in chaffer were cold & not to eat them. Went to a seat with black coffee. Be selective as seats are wobbly & torn up. My husband got the last spoon (only utensil out) & no napkins. I spoke to the front desk who sent out the HR director. She got things straightened up a bit but these kitchen staff employees took no pride in their service. Eat at your own risk!

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were not super clean behind the nightstand there were piles of dust and a bottle top. Entire facility is extremely outdated. I probably would not stay there again.

Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. It was new years and not many people so very quiet. So few people the restaurant was closed and hot breakfast wasn't available. It is convenient access for biking the Katy trail.
