We were given a room that was occupied and when my wife opened the door, there was a half naked man sleeping on the bed so that’s not a good start. My child was also there and was slightly traumatized.

We could never get hot water in our room. The water was never more than lukewarm. The room was noisy, because there was a 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door. all of the noise from the lobby drifted into the room. every room door faces the lobby. We took a Taxi to the hotel. The desk clerk would not call us a taxi when we wanted to check out. He bluntly told us to call for a Lyft or Uber.

Simple comfort

My stay was nice. I had a 2br w balcony. My room was clean and the sheets and bathroom were adequate. The rooms are a bit outdated but ok. The balcony had a nice view but could use some work.... like small awnings would be lovely so that you can sit outside when it has a light rain. Our sliding door was a pain in the ass to open. The lobby had someone at the desk at all times. There was a bit of confusion with the parking . I parked in a lot that they told me to. Which requires you to scan a code to pay for your parking. I went to the front desk for some assistance because it came with a price of $73. But the website states that it's $30 for parking per night. I approached Nicholas at the desk for assistance and he told me he was not aware of the $30 parking night. Benefit of doubt I told him once I get to my room I would confirm when I read. I'm not quite sure.

Stayed at Pier 5 Hotel recently. It was okay overall. The best part was the location—really close to a bunch of good restaurants, which made grabbing food super easy. The room was fine for getting work done, but the lighting in the hotel lobby was pretty dark, which wasn’t great. The outside of the hotel has a rustic, pier-like vibe—not fancy, but maintained well enough. Staff were nice and polite, but nothing over the top. No one really went out of their way to make the stay feel special. So, don’t expect over the top customer service. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you just need somewhere convenient and functional—but don’t expect anything too memorable.

Old building, run down and unfriendly staff. The local area is quit run down. We are from Baltimore and are sad to see how broken the city has become. Quit unsafe after dark!

The sheets literally did not fit on the bed, it was very tacky. And even though the surrounding scenery and the lobby is very nice, the condition/presentation of the rooms are very much outdated. They are in desperate need of a renovation, especially considering their prices and rates

Great views, great location, great staff. Right beside the National aquarium, 7 Foot Knoll Lighthouse, and Historic Ships to tour. Amazing food everywhere including McCormick & Schmick’s and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse onsite with the Hard Rock Cafe, and Phillips right next door.

The hotel is right on the pier and the views from the harbor side are amazing! The beds aren't very comfortable, the lobby gets loud, and parking is $30 per day. Also, there is no microwave

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great and convenient to a lot of places. The condition of the hotel while clean is in need of updating. Not a deal breaker for a one night stay.
