2/10 Terrible

My family and I stayed at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City during the weekend of July 2025, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the worst hotel experiences of our lives.
We arrived with hopeful expectations—this was meant to be a relaxing getaway for my husband, our special needs child, and myself. Instead, we were met with chaos, disrepair, and a level of indifference from staff that was both shocking and deeply disappointing.
The elevators, a basic and essential amenity, were a complete disaster. Some weren’t working at all, while others were getting stuck mid-floor. Guests were visibly panicked and confused, and there seemed to be no urgency from the hotel staff to fix the situation or even communicate with guests. Navigating this nightmare with a special needs child was emotionally exhausting and physically dangerous. No family should be forced to make the choice between waiting endlessly for a working elevator or carrying a child up multiple flights of stairs.
The energy in the hotel was dark, cold, and unwelcoming. From the moment we checked in, we were treated more like a nuisance than valued guests. Not once did anyone on staff ask if we needed help or offer support—not even when it was clear we were struggling.
The rooms were outdated and gloomy, and the overall atmosphere felt neglected. It was as if the soul had been drained from the hotel long ago, and all that remained was a shell of what it might have once been.
I would never stay.
