The Super 8 in Appleton was nice. The hotel is dated, but was very quiet, appeared to be rather clean. The bed was comfortable. The only negative is that initially when we walked into our room it smelled of old cigarette smoke, but that smell dissipated very quickly and was NOT on our clothing when we left the room. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a late arrival (after 7pm). Our room was not ready. I know there was a Packer game the night before but they really need to enforce checkout times and make sure the rooms are ready for the next guests. Also, two light bulbs were burned out in our room.

The hotel was clean enough but it was a bit rundown and smelled mildewy and like old smoke. For the price it was decent enough.

The rooms are worn, which is forgivable. However, my sheets were yellowed with sweat stains, which was unpleasant and would earn a lower rating anywhere else but a Super 8. At least they don't pretend to be a 5 star hotel.

The mildew was so strong we slept with the window open and the fan running the whole time. Big square of mold on the bathroom wall. And the smell in the hall was nauseating.
