Hotel Yountville was a perfect home base for a couple’s visit to a Napa Valley. It is located near many great wineries including Domaine Chandon which is a stones throw away. Our room was superb with tons of space, beautiful finishes, and a vaulted ceiling. The pool area is very trendy with great service from its own small bar area. The free breakfast was “meh”. Decent quality but basically just a limited pastry selection, some berries, yogurt, and granola. This probably doesn’t matter as you’ll be eating so much the rest of the day that a lighter breakfast is a good thing. Yountville itself is a town from a postcard with perfect weather, quaint streets, and top notch culinary delights. All in all, this hotel fulfilled all our needs and then some.
We came up to Napa for a night getaway to celebrate a birthday. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and checked in. The lobby was stunning and the staff was friendly! We arrived at our hotel to a beautiful room - complete with a patio, vaulted ceilings and all the amenities you could ask for. Our bathroom included a large soaking tub and a steam shower - so relaxing! We woke up and walked down to Bouchon for coffee and pasties (the hotel offers bikes too!) and enjoyed them on our private garden patio. The entire hotel is quiet and peaceful. Our patio was complete with a fountain which added an even more relaxing touch. The pool is beautiful and there is a lovely bar and firepit in the pool area. The hotel is steps away from Ad Hoc and a short walk from some of the best food in Napa Valley and the world! We look forward to coming back for another stay!
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a beautiful suite with a patio. The complimentary bottle of Stewart Pinot Noir was very well appreciated. The Staff was attentive, highly professional and very pleasant. Pre-arrival, Peter assisted with reservations at various wineries in the area which made planning significantly easier. While we didn’t use the pool there is a nice pool area with an in-ground hot tub and bar. We did enjoy some refreshing summertime cocktails at the bar. We had breakfast twice in the Heritage Oak Restaurant. I highly recommend the Heritage Oak Benedict with pork belly. The pancakes were also fantastic. There is an outdoor fireplace to sit by on those cool Napa mornings and evenings. There are many restaurants and wine tasting rooms within walking distance from the hotel. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel Yountville.
My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at the Hotel Yountville in May of 2019. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The location was perfect – it is in Yountville, within walking distance to the town. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Our room was fabulous – simply elegant, high ceilings, fireplace, and a private patio. They welcomed us with a bottle of excellent wine, some delicious snacks and a personal note. Our concierge Peter, was very helpful. Before we arrived, I had contacted him about our trip. He reserved tours and tastings for us at some very nice wineries that have a relationship with the hotel. Every visit to these wineries was an awesome experience. They do have a complimentary continental breakfast in the hotel lobby every morning. Because we were going to wine tastings, we felt we needed something more substantial than fruit, yogurt, and pastries, so we ate breakfast at their restaurant Heritage Oak. The food was delicious and service there was wonderful. I can’t wait to return to this hotel again one day.
We stayed here for four nights in May. We stayed in a suite which was very nice but to be fair it should be for $1000+ per night. If you are going to charge 5* prices you really should make sure the whole experience is 5 star. The staff in the restaurant and the pool were very nice but the staff on the front desk were at best disinterested and at worst rude (apart from the man who original checked us in). We had originally booked a deluxe room and then when we arrived decided we would upgrade to a suite but wanted to see the room first. It was pouring with rain so the surly man behind the desk picked up an umbrella for himself leaving myself and my husband to follow behind getting soaked. They were most unhelpful if we had any queries during our stay. It's a shame as it is a nice hotel but if I came back to this area I would not choose to stay here.
In terms of accommodation, this was the best hotel that we stayed in during a 4 week tour of the USA. The rooms are in attractive two-storey blocks around a large courtyard and parking area with the pool and dining area forming one side. Our room was excellent - very large with a high sloping ceiling, a lovely small balcony, and a gas fire for any chilly nights. There is a walk-through dressing area with a lovely deep jacuzzi bath, an excellent and large rain shower and separate toilet. Toiletries are by Molton Brown and there are loads of fluffy towels of every size up to large bath sheets. A complimentary breakfast is offered in the reception lobby with coffee, excellent croissants and pain au chocolate as well as fresh fruit and yogurts. However, if you wish more, including cooked options, there is a lovely dining room near the pool. The Hotel does not have an evening restaurant because there are so many dining options a stroll way. We can particularly recommend Bistro Jeanty, and also Bouchon Bistro - both within 10 mins walk. The Hotel staff were really friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a problem with our booking as it had not been fully prepaid by our agent, but the front desk dealt with this perfectly. Overall, a first class place with great accommodation and staff. We can thoroughly recommend it.
We had a great experience at Hotel Yountville. Rooms are large, clean & renovated with big cozy fireplaces. Upon check-in we had a bottle of wine and fruit/cheese plate waiting for us in our room. The pool & hot tub are fantastic. Room service was literally the fastest I have ever experienced and piping hot. The only downfall was that the last time we stayed in Napa our hotel overlooked a vineyard and Hotel Yountville can't offer that, but it is close to all of the wonderful food & drinks in Yountville which is an added bonus!
I have stayed at the Hotel Yountville 6 times over the last 12 years, even before the remodel. Last weekend when my friend and I stayed there it was AWFUL!!! The service we received from everyone except the people at their restaurant was horrible!! The Hotel over charged my credit card by $640 and now I can’t get anyone to call me back. I’ve called 4 times with no returned calls. Ugh!!! I will never stay at the Hotel Yountville again!!!!
Hotel Yountville is a lovely property. We stayed in one of their very large suites. It was amazing. They were undergoing a renovation so some things were not so great. No where to put room service food once it was delivered. Quirky server. Room service menu is small and not complete enough if you want a good dinner. The bar near the entranceway did not have spoons (never stock them, they said), but I had a saucy dish and needed one. Nor did they have a fresh pepper mill. Amazing for a 5-star hotel. All in all it could be a great place and may have improved by now, but it needs some work.
We had a large, clean room with a nice patio. The location is ideal. A nice pool and public areas, very friendly staff. Details, such as landscaping and more timely room cleaning (basically more staff), and this would be a 5 star hotel.
