Love the hotel... hate my gps!! This hotel is VERY easy to find... if you know Anything about the area!! This wonderful facility is off the road about 150m and beside a HUGE Home Depot!! Once you find it... you'll laugh at how easy it was to find!! I did!! very clean very quiet buffet breakfast was just the hotel basics BUT.... the chunks of pineapple were huge and tasty!! Was a good night for me and I rested well!! VERY close to shopping, dining and ....everything of any value in Niles/Warren Ohio
We recently stayed overnight at the Fairfield. We always stay at Marriott properties when traveling and were not disappointed. The front desk clerk was very friendly when we arrived, The room was very clean. The breakfast bar was well stocked and clean. One nice added touch was a complementary scratch off card that awarded additional Marriott Reward points for the stay. We received 500 points that was an unexpected surprise.
We stay at the Warren Fairfield when visiting family in the area. Rodney always gives us with a warm welcome. On this stay he gave us perfect directions to a restaurant. As it was a cold, snowy night I asked for an additional blanket when we came back from dinner. He was on it immediately. All staff is warm and helpful.
I stay here regularly when visiting family in the area, usually twice a year for multiple days each stay. I am also a frequent Marriott guest and have Platinum Elite status. My last stay was last week and it was disappointing. In my Marriott profile, I request 3 things: high floor, foam pillows and to be in a room away from the elevator. Apparently, there was no regard to my profile as I received a room *literally* next to the elevator, on the second floor and with feather pillows. It was also one of the smaller rooms in the hotel, so Platinum Elite guests should be advised that status does not matter. Breakfast was decidedly average/blah. I noted there were times when dishes were allowed to be depleted rather than the attendant keeping them filled. I observed other guests going to the front desk to ask for one thing or another which became unavailable. One evening, I noted there was a cake dish with some very large cookies underneath the dome, near the hot beverage station. They must have been old, as they were all stuck together. Ick. There is a Residence Inn very close by which may get my business in the future. I have stayed several times at the Holiday Inn Express across the street as well (see my earlier review) and, though they may be a bit Stepford, they really do try to exceed expectations. This Fairfield Inn, however, does not even try to meet them, let alone exceed.
Check in was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and the sleeping good. Breakfast was included and was good. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall area with some big box stores, restaurants, etc. Wifi worked well.
I had made reservations for two rooms at Days Inn on Route 422 in Niles, but was cautioned away by family and friends. I consulted some friends via Facebook and Lisa, an assistant manager contacted me to say she had availability and that her place was drama-free, safe and quiet. Which it was. And clean, and comfortable and convenient to everything Niles/Warren has to offer. Most of all, I felt safe there. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling solo, with family or for business.
We stayed May 5th for my daughters birthday. We actually live in Champion (which is 15 mins away) but because of the rainy and cold North East Ohio weather there wasn't much to do on such short notice. No big party since she only turned 9. So we decided to go swimming since she loves to swim. Staff was very nice, rooms, bathroom and the pool especially was very clean. Beds were comfy and not much noise for it being a weekend. We had a great time staying the night. The girls swam Friday and Saturday morning too. Check out isn't until noon which is nice. That would really help if we were traveling, that way you don't feel so rushed when you want to take your time. And the breakfast was wonderful, waffles (plain or blueberry), cereals, English muffins, bagels, bread, fruit, eggs, sausage, ham, omelets, muffins etc. Breakfast was well worth it and saved us from going to a restaurant near by. Would definitely stay again if needed and would recommend this hotel for travelers.
I reserved this hotel due to location. reviews and price. I got there and the lobby was small but not an issue. Got to my room which was slightly dated but not a large issue. I do my normal bed check and observed to box spring cover near the headboard as dusty with a hair tie. I wondered why housekeeping didn't catvh3 this. I always pull up the box spring cover but this time it had a snag. When I pulled it off along came a large cockroach. Needless to say, I grabbed my things and immediately checked out!
Much nicer area than Boardman/Poland area Fairfield Inn and best price hotel around. Will be returning when visiting daughter at YSU. Very friendly staff, clean, safe area. Nice complementary breakfast.
My daughter and I stayed at this Fairfield Inn recently. The staff was so nice, and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It is not a fancy place, but it was really nice for a Fairfield. Sometimes, Fairfield Inns can be marginal. The pool is clean, decent sized and in great shape. And it wasn't badly priced at all. The only negative thing that I could say, if I have to, is that there wasn't too many people staying there the night we were there. But they must have all been on our floor because I heard them from time to time. But the positives far outweighed the negatives. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms were very roomy and updated, and the food was good. That's all I can ask for! Great job!
